It's interesting how a lot of the cast are smoking. I really hope these shots were taken on the day of makeup/wardrobe testing, because I am not digging the blush on Rob.

Love seeing these photos and can't wait for the movie, however with all the smoking going around working on this set might kill them!

Good Lord, its like one big smoke fest.

Not a fan of the smoking... and so far I'm not digging the hair on anyone... Robert's isn't quite back to how it was in the 1st movie (not that it has to be the same, but still), still a little bit short in my opinion.
Taylor does look more muscular, so yay! lol. Is it just me or does anyone feel like Nikki's hair is fake? I mean I know she dyed it, because she's naturally a brunette, but her hair looks so... pasty, lol. But maybe that was just in the first movie? Her hair looks better in this pic. Still thinks she's pretty!

Jhilly, Nikki Reed wore that same hideous wig in the first movie. It is gonna look fake no matter what because she just is not a girl who should go blonde.

It still pisses me off how they couldn't find an actress who actually can pull off the blonde look. Nikki is too ethnic looking for such a platinum blonde wig. She looked ridiculous in the first film.

Beautiful Price- AGREED. Rosalie is supposed to be a drop dead gorgeous blonde and all they could come up with was lame Nikki Reed? I think she was buddy buddy with the last director (Catherine H?) because she directed her in Thirteen.

I love my Rob but I don't think his hair grew out long enough before shoting and he does not look as good in make-up.

nikki reed dyed her hair blonde for the first film and being a natural brunette her hair did not react kindly to all of the bleaching, so they decided to use a wig this go around, which i think looks loads better than the constant roots in the first. she spoke quite a bit about it in a mtv interview. i actually think her voice and mannerisms are perfect for rosalie. i think she looks unnatural and beautiful with the blonde hair and makeup, which is exactly the way she should look. and better her than some disney kid who can't act.

i think hair and makeup are going to be loads better in new moon. and come on does it really surprise you that they all smoke? rob is smoking in every photo shoot i have seen him in and he is still beautiful. i am not a fan of cigarettes, but really...does it matter what we think...answer: no.

That being said I think some of you are being really harsh on Nikki Reed, she's a very cute girl albeit not with blonde hair..my main complaint is with Kristen Stewart! Could there be a more annoying actress in Hollywood..she is awful not to mention so stuck up! yuck!

I agree with Notoriousmar, Nikki Reed had worked in two movies before with Twilight's director and I think that had something to do with her being casted.
I think she's not a bad actress and she's beautiful, but with all the actresses out there couldn't they cast someone who has the look and can act?

I think its a domino effect- back in the day actors use to smoke because it was considered "cool" now that cancer has effected so many people it isn't cool- someone needs to send the cast the memo!

i finally have an answer that makes us both right SaRaH22! i found an article on instyle.com labeled hair secrets from the set. nikki reed dyed the top layer of her hair and wore a 3quarter fall, which extended below her natural hair. (a fall is a hairpiece worn under or on the back of the hair) so that explains why her hair is so dark in that photo since she only dyed the top layer of her hair. yay, we are both sort of right.
