Why would you're editorial sense state that a recovering drug addict, that is famous for being the best friend of someone famous for being famous, is a fitting choice for a music edition of magazine. My opinion shared by the masses is that she is not only not cute, but clothes don't hang well off of her, much like Mary Kate Olsen. Why is she championed as a fashion icon ? She has as much to do with real rock attitude as her father, singing "Dancing on the ceiling" .
Just stating facts and widely held opinions.
Why would anyone put her on a magazine cover? Really?

The fact is, though, she is relevant in today's society. (like it or not) She is a well known TV personality, and despite "widely held opinions," many people like her. She's probably on the cover because of the magazine's personal liking of her. I guess my thought is, why wouldn't they put her on the cover? It all comes down to opinion and money and what sells. Apparently the magazine thought it wise to use her to sell their magazine. They said it themselves "Nicole Rocks." Obviously, they're a fan.

In regards to fashion, again, that's just a matter of opinion. (because) So many people do champion her as a fashion icon - she is one. Like it or leave it - it is what it is. Historically, clothes don't hang well on any model (not just celeb types like Nicole Ritchie and MKO) because they are rails. Have you ever seen a runway show? Minus the height, Nicole is the standard. (in regards to body size)

Nicole isn't really that relevant in today's society. She was on a reality show which ended two years ago. Here dad was a popstar 20 years ago. If it weren't for internet tabloids, she and most of her ilk would be footnotes on bad tv history. Danny Kastner is more culturally relevant.

I'm so sick of the whole GaGa craze... since it started really, but I do love Nicole, shes real to me. We got to see a spoiled adopted pop star parented girl grow up nicely. Although, I prefered her more when she had the chubby cheeks and extensions... she was fun then! I really find her to be relevant and a role model in today's society.
