After posing for photos on the red carpet, John Mayer took the stage to perform at the One Splendid Evening concert last night, along with Jordin Sparks and Gavin Rossdale. While their music was the main event of the night, John also made a splash by talking about his recent Twitter obsession. Though John tweets constantly, he said, "It’s inherently silly and it’s inherently dumb. I've always communicated at a high level as best I can whether it's Twitter, Napster or message boards or wherever. I don't have a devotion to Twitter. I didn't sell out to Twitter. You do Twitter until everybody gets off of Twitter and it's something else you go and try out." John may not be looking to make a lifelong commitment to the social site, but his love affair should last long enough to get some fun updates live from the Mayercraft carrier.

he just updates it too much to be honest. i had put him as someone to follow and there's just too much nonsense on there that i can't quite follow anything.
STFU dumbass
what the hell is he saying?

I know it's a little off topic, but Gavin has an amazing voice
its amazing that gavin could walk down the street in britain and nobody knows him but the US love him. well he is having a great life there I guess
I think that he will be respected again like the musician he used to be before being linked with Simpson and Aniston.
He's got sh*t for brains.....
LOL. One source had Jennifer breaking up with him because he twittered too much- anytime something like that's even remotely believable, there's something wrong
How can you not understand what he's saying? He's right. Look at how people went from myspace to facebook to twitter...from phone calls to emails to text messages...
Back to the music Mr. Mayer. That's all we care about; enough with everything else.
