Ryan Phillippe dove into his new role with multiple camera bags in Johannesburg, South Africa, yesterday. He's filming an independent movie called The Bang Bang Club with Malin Akerman and FNL star Taylor Kitsch, about a group of four photographers who win a Pulitzer for their work in the last days of apartheid-era South Africa. Ryan is far from home, but this sounds like the kind of work that should teach Ava and Deacon a valuable history lesson when they're old enough to see it.

Riggins is in this??? Must see. I heart Taylor.
Sounds like a good story...I hope its better made than Stop Loss.
I've read the book. This has the potential to be a great movie. It deals with some very tough subjects like what it's like to witness and photograph horrible violence over an over. By the way, I liked Stop-Loss. RP's performance was certainly excellent.
Hell yeah! Forget Ryan- he will be overshadowed with Riggins being in this movie!
i didn't realize that it was adapted from a book. i think that it's good content, and i hope that it does better than his other movies - although serious plots like this haven't really been all that successful lately...
Ryan's cute but where are the pictures of Taylor!?
I don't think Taylor is in the opening scenes if this is following along with the opening of the book...and it seems to be. He's a major character though, he plays Kevin Carter who has had a documentary filmed about him. I won't tell you what happens to Carter. It might make you cry.
I have no interest in this guy. Hollywood sure has a crush on the name 'Taylor'.
I don't know too much about Malin's work but I love Taylor and Ryan is great. The story sounds really compelling too.
this is such a good book, everyone should read it... it deals with such important and interesting topics! I really hope this movie does it justice.
Yeah, I think Taylor Kitsch is going to be the reason to watch this - not Ryan
Hmmm, can't wait for pics of Riggins on set start to circulate!
This sounds really good. I hope Riggins has the chops for this role. I think Ryan will be perfect but I haven't seen anything from Taylor or Malin yet that has this depth. They have the potential though so let's hope they live up to it.
Ryan is playing the lead but you have not mentioned the other lead in the movie FRANK RAUTENBACH who plays the role of Ken. Show some photos of him. You think charlize Theron from south africa is hot, you should see this guy!
I wonder how he could ever let Reese go? She is gorgeous, talented, smart, successful - and the mother of his children. Wonder if hes ever regretted it?
