Chace Crawford had his bags packed as he left an apartment in LA yesterday. After a long season filming Gossip Girl, Chace is looking toward Summer plans, and he reportedly tried out for the Footloose remake this weekend. Last week, you all were pretty split about the news musical veteran Zac Efron dropped out of the project. We haven't seen a lot of singing and dancing from Chace before, but the movie still has potential to be a big hit. Tell us — would you want to see Chace star in Footloose?

I'll probably get eviscerated for this, but I don't think he's a very good actor...I can't imagine him being a good singer either.
1I don't like him much either.
2He may have similar hair to Zac but I can't see him singing or danicing for that matter.

6Okay - it's been a long time since I last saw Footlose but did they sing? As I recall (and I may very possibly be wrong) they just danced...

i know that everyone loves him, but i'm not sure that he's really able to take on the kevin bacon role. we'll just have to see what comes of it.
13What's with Hollywood and trying to remake every single past hit?!? Most of these should be left alone, I have yet to see a good remake...

15I think it's ridiculous to remake it in the first place. The movie wasn't as good as the cast made it. These guys you post do not have a glimpse of that talent.
16BabyNorbert, I've been wondering the same thing - as far as I can remember, they only danced in Footloose, didn't sing.
I still don't get why they need to remake every friggen movie that's been released. Make something new for us to watch!
