We were disappointed when Robert Pattinson was a no-show at the Kids' Choice Awards last weekend, and it turns out that we've lost our Edward Cullen permanently. Robert has suddenly dropped out of filming New Moon, saying that all the fan attention was too much for him. He went on to say that he's very grateful for the opportunity and success of the first Twilight movie, but has decided to shift his focus to smaller indie movies like Little Ashes.
His costar Taylor Lautner has already volunteered to take on the role of Edward, but there's no word yet on what will happen. Enraged fans have already started sending costume vampire teeth to Robert as a plea to get him back, but it looks like he's sticking to his decision. 9the best part of this joke is that Rob really doesnt like the fan attention, so its totally plausible. but it would be sad because he is the best part of the movie. what doesnt work is that it wouldnt make any sense for taylor to take his place...that would just be confusing!

I was actually applauding the news (had it been true). It's not easy to walk away when you're so sought after and I thought, for once ~ someone with heart and charisma has finally decided to do what's right than letting the limelight get to their head and destroy their lives.
