Ryan Gosling and his band Dead Man's Bones are back with a video for their song, "Name in Stone." Their first single, "In the Room Where You Sleep," went over pretty well and this continues in their old-timey style by filming in black and white. Ryan's taking his music seriously, and this song is a little slow but catchy. So, tell us — love it or leave it?

Love the song and I love Ryan Gosling.
Am I picking up some Elvis & Burl Ives influences here? Intriguing!
It is very atmospheric and cinematic. I could see it on the soundtrack of a film. On the radio, not so much. But I do like it.
i like it, but his videos are always scary.
I like it!
i agree with you jillness
Wow Ryan, this is lovely--can I go on tour with you? I can play the tambourine.

I like it, but it doesn't sound special. Kind of like a cliche folk song really, I wouldn't listen again.
Not really a radio song but I really like it. There's a little bit of a Johnny Cash feel to it
I like it
I really like it.
I too agree with Jillness. It's nice to hear something different once in a while, you know?
I'm pretty impressed. He's pretty awesome, so I don't know why I'm surprised.
I like it - although it's a bit rough around the edges. Has potential though. Reminds me of Nick Cave a bit.
I like the song but not the video - pretty much all music videos now are stupid or just cliche. there is a lot of Elvis and Johnny Cash influence, as well as Robert Johnson which I love. the only thing that makes me not love it is that it sounds dangerously like a White Stripes song. even the video looks like White Stripes video. I don't think he intentionally did that, but I think the influence is a little too strong. and while I think The White Stripes is probably the only good rock band out there; it's not the only sound that one can play. hope Ryan ranches out and tries his own thing...
I don't see the connection w/ White Stripes. Which song? ;? Ryan seems pretty unique to me.
