Lots of our favorite celebs were out celebrating Easter yesterday, including Fergie who was in DC making the White House party a little more festive. The singer performed the national anthem and a few of her singles at the annual Easter Egg Roll, with the whole Obama family watching by her side. Fergie got a big hug from the president and said the whole experience was "one of the most amazing moments of my life." Between their new puppy Bo and a special visit from Fergie, it sounds like the first Easter in DC was one to remember for Sasha, Malia, Barack, and Michelle.
More of Fergie and the Obamas if you just read more.

I think this is the first time I've seen her as a brunette and liked it.
1she looks sooo much better as a brunette
2No likey. I hate the hair, I hate the gloves.
3Can't stand Fergie but the Easter Bunny is adorable!! lol
4Everything about her is gross.
5I like her with the brown hair. She looks all dolled up here - very White House appropriate.
6She looks great!
7i think fergie is a horrible singer. i still don't understand her appeal.
8what happened to fergie's face? seriously, i can't put my finger on it but i know it's different .......
9WOW..I don't think I've ever heard of as many celebs at the white house. At least GBush kept it business...Obama is making it a joke. He just gave a political position to Kal Penn (real name Kalpen Suresh Modi), the actor who played in the movie "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle". AMAZING...our genius president assigned him as the political liaison with the Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities...a fricking JOKE since he has no Asian or Pacific Island ties. His parents are from India! I am Pacific Islander and I have to say I'm really offended that Barack O spent so little time to find a more suitable person for the position..someone who understands what the Asian and Pacific Islander people are about..we are brown people but worlds apart in customs and beliefs. That's like putting an Australian Aborigine to be the liaison for African Americans in the states. They both kinda look a like but have no clue what the other is about! It's an insult if you ask me because it's clear he put no thought or care into who was best for that position and who would understand the problems that face the Asian and Island Pacific communities here in America...instead he thinks an Indian comedian is the answer to our woes.
10SeptemberRai, fyi, Indians are considered south Asians, making Kal qualified to be an associate director of the White House office of Public Liason for the purpose of reaching out to the Asian American community. While I'm no big Kal fan, I applaud him for leaving a top rated show like House and the $$$ attached to it to help work with the community. Not a lot of entertainers will do that.
11ps..i know India is in the continent of Asia, but you wouldn't say he's Asian or represents that community. It was a lame assed decision. I knew someone would say that to make it seem like it was such a great choice, but it isn't the same although TECHNICALLY it will pass on paper. There is a whole other position specifically set aside for India and it's people and it doesn't pass itself off as an "Asian liaison". The position last year paid approx $81,000/yr and this year it has almost tripled to $238,000/yr just for Kal (PLUS all moving expenses). I'm sorry but I smell a rat who's trying to pass himself off as a pc of sushi.
12and..he was more caught up in A) working for the President of the United States, who just happened to be the first President in history who is African American...The man of the YEAR...and considered the most popular person on the Earth at the present moment by TIME magazine. than as a 2 bit sitcom actor who's show will be off the air before Obama is out of office...It is reported that approx 91% of the people living in this country don't even know who this guy is....I'm sorry, but I think MANY if not ALL would have made the same choice Kal made if put in the same position and not even have to think twice.
13septemberrain, you seem very passionate about your disapproval of kal's appointment. you should write to the white house with your point of view. best of luck with that.
14lol, believe it or not, I called!!!! Got some lady who said she was the white house switchboard..I asked to speak with the President and she gave me an email address to write my concerns to..I called just to see if my daughter was right when she said "Hey I have Barack's number" lol
15These were the numbers. (just in case anyone has better luck than I did)
The White House (main line): 202-456-1111
The White House (switchboard): 202-456-1414
16indians ARE asian. haha.

I really hate it when people belittle the real life accomplishments of others just because they are actors/singer - as if those people don't have a right to an informed, educated opinion or position.
And no one says you need to be a certain race/ethnicity to do a good job - sometimes your education and understanding matters a lot more than the color of your skin or the place where your ancestors were born.
18Of all the singers that could have been invited - why her?
19Go Fergie
20did she pee herself there too?
21i feel like the brown hair makes her look a lot older...i don't know. in any event, i think that it's nice that obama is such a friendly person to celebs, but granted, knowing how many jumped right on board during the campaign, it's really not surprising. he's going to be the celeb/hollywood president..and he's not even the pres that was an actor!
22and then she peed her pants! however this was comforting to Bo the new first pooch who had just peed on the rug in the oval office
23I like her hair color. She looks beautiful
24When I think The White House and Easter... I'm not thinking 'Fergie Ferg'. Who is the event planner? Please don't 'ghettofab' our first opportunity to show class. *damn*
25thanks for that info zeze! i'm impressed w/ his credentials.
26and i agree that the color of your skin doesn't make you and expert on a subject.
