Gwyneth split from Ben in 2000, the same year that Winona and Matt parted ways. Matt dumped Winona after a trip to the Caribbean amid rumors that he was seeing his All the Pretty Horses costar, Penelope Cruz. Around the same time, Gwyneth and Winona's friendship apparently soured as well.
