On Saturday in the Hamptons, Madonna fell off a horse that had been "spooked" by the paparazzi according to her manager Guy Oseary. The singer was taken from photographer Steven Klein's home where the incident took place to the hospital and released the same day with minor injuries. Her rep Liz Rosenberg confirmed, "The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer, who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend. Madonna will be having further tests and will continue to remain under observation by doctors." This isn't the first time Madonna has been injured from riding horses but luckily this time it seems a lot less severe. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Aw, Madonna doesn't have good luck with the horses. I hope they are just being super paranoid because she is a performer (and rich enough to afford loads of healthcare), and that is why they took her to the hospital, not that she is seriously injured. If her rep was correct that it was paparazzi who startled the horse, that is really pathetic! Please don't post any photos they may have taken!
1I agree about the last part of snowbunnies comment. I hope Madonna recovers soon.
2They need to make sure she's okay because with any fall there could be internal bleeding, which is the cause of most accidents like that of Natasha Richardson.
3horses are seriously stupid animals. whatevs.
4Oh whatever...not a big deal. I ride horses competitively and have fallen off more than a couple times. It's rare that you actually get hurt and NEED to go to the hospital. Definitely overblown
5oh Lauren3185!!! You...oh..nevermind..you are not worth it. get well, madonna!!
6Can you believe the nerve on that horse??
7I was never a fan of paparazzi's photos, but this is the worst. This is partially our own fault, since we're the ones demanding photos of Madonna round the clock to criticize later.
I hope it's nothing serious and she can recover.
8Nice Mormolok
:D It's a good point. Lol.
9Just to the poster above, I worked at a hospital a couple of years ago, specifically in the medical imaging department (xrays, CT, MRI etc) and we saw quite a few nasty injuries from horse-riding.
10If some knob jumped out of a bush, waving a camera around and caused that accident, then that's pretty sh*tty. I also agree with the comments above about please not posting any of the photos from the accident. There needs to be some stricter laws on stalker-type/paparazzi photographers.
well Madonna being so old, her bones are brittle. This is horrible! Look at the damage to her face!
11That's terrible, damn those paparazzis
! This is why I never ride horses.
12I hope Madonna recovers soon.
Why would you jump out of the bushes and spook an animal just to get a picture? Well, hope she recovers soon.
13I've always been afraid of horses. I hope she gets well soon.
14I have family in the Hamptons and the southampton hospital where she was is the worst! I could just imagine her b*tchin people around. We did too when we were there but we weren't as big of a deal as she is. I hope they took care of her and treated her better then they treat us regular folk!
15these comments are laughable! thanx for the entertainment people
16Madonna looks so soft and feminine now. Much nicer than the look she had a couple of years ago.
17The paparazzi says this is BS and he was nowhere near when this happened. TMZ updated that a couple of hours ago.
18this just goes to show how aggressive the papps are sometimes. it's really lucky that nothing worse happened to her. falling off a horse is really serious stuff
19sometimes paps cause trouble...this is her 2nd time falling off a horse..hope she'll be fine soon.
20I hope she gets well.
21i think madonna is like a cat,, 9 lives, ha ha....
22Madonna and her reps are LIARS.
"But photographer Thomas Hinton tells Newsday in online editions Sunday the only photographer present when the "Material Girl" singer fell was Steven Klein, her host in the Hamptons, a playground for the rich and famous on the eastern end of Long Island.
Hinton says he received a tip Madonna was in the Hamptons and took photos of her from a public road before and after the accident. He says he wasn't there when she fell"
23her face scared the horse...I've been riding since I was 8 (28 now) and have never fallen off a horse (thank God)...she needs to stick to the petting zoo
24Clearly Madonna is a terrible horse rider, since this is the second time she's fallen off and been injured seriously enough to be hospitalized. Secondly, what an evil woman, to blame a paparazzo, when he wasn't even there.
