34one of the best. guess she just didn't enjoy life without estelle... i'm staying this saturday night, my 4th day of of a disgustingly painful sore throat, but tonight my golden girls dvds will keep me company:0) RIP Bea, you're a pal and a confidaaant.
35I'm not ready for this two of the most awesome actresses of all time and from the same show that was my favorite i cant handle. On screen mother and daughter gone in less than a year apart!! I will always miss them both and i will continue to watch!!! R.I.P
36How saddening. I love her work on "The Golden Girls," too. She was such a talent.
In my opinion, "The Golden Girls" is a stronger show than "Sex and The City," which is another show I admire. When it comes to describing female friendships, sex, sensitive issues, I think "The Golden Girls" did it better, and indeed, the show is more timeless. The writing was good, and so was the acting (thanks to Bea Arthur and the rest of the talented cast).
I regret that Bea Arthur passed away. She did such good work.

38Aww, she was one of the best. Godspeed Bea!
39Thank you for your wonderful contribution to television, and godspeed, Ms. Arthur.
40It's nice to see so many other fans of The Golden Girls! I'm a huge fan of the show and can't imagine a time without it. It really is a timeless show, and still funny as hell 20 yrs later. Bea Arthur will be dearly missed!
41I've just realized that ONE HALF of THE GOLDEN GIRLS are gone now, & it makes watching the show more precious than ever before.
42-
Even though she lived a long & wonderful life, her passing is indeed a shock to me & saddens me greatly. I've been a fan of hers from her "Maude" days to the "Golden Girls"... No matter what, I always knew if I watched her perform, I was guaranteed to laugh out loud.

My sincere condolences to her family & friends over her loss; she will be missed.
