Jamie Lynn Spears had her 10-month-old daughter Maddie on her hip and her mom by her side as she walked through LAX on Friday. Unfortunately, on Sunday she had to rush to Mississippi to be with Maddie's father Casey Aldridge after a car accident early that morning. He suffered mild brain trauma but is stable, and the two other passengers who were thrown from the car when it flipped over weren't badly injured. Casey was charged with a misdemeanor for careless operation of a vehicle, though there is no suspicion that he'd been drinking. Sounds like a scary accident but thankfully everyone involved survived and Casey has Maddie and Jamie Lynn there to help him through his recovery.

9I really hate saying this but the poor baby got her dad's close set eyes.
10I know this is really missing the point of the post, but Jamie Lynn looks really cute here, well besides the whole skunk highlights hairdo.
I know she is very young, but I think people should get over it. Plenty of 16 year olds are having sex, and just because JL was too stupid to use protection does not make her some kind of abnormally whorish girl. I am really sick of women being defined by whether or not they have kids/sex/used protection, etc. Women are more than whether or not they are virgins or wh*res by society's standards. Seriously, I feel like if you don't get married at 25, and have your first kid at 26, and another at 28, you will be judged. While it probably wouldn't be most peoples' choice to have a kid so young, luckily she has the resources to deal with it, and hopefully it's going pretty well, regardless of how not cute the baby is. And I'm pro-choice, I would have had an abortion if I'd gotten pregnant at 16, and obviously that was an option for JL and she chose not to get one when she could have, so she chose to have this baby, even if she probably didn't want to get pregnant in the first place.
11to continue off the previous post A LOT of the teen girls that do get pregnant were using some form of protection but were using it incorrectly because they weren't educated properly in high school or by parents, etc. So that is why often times teen girls are so surprised by teen pregnancy, I also have a friend that works at the Crisis Pregnancy center here in chicago so some of this information is based off that as well...at some point you got to give her a break and realize she is doing the best she can, and at least she is taking care of her child and not using all her extra money to hire a nanny to do it for her

14regardless of how, when, where, or why she had her child - the point IS, to me, that it's always sad to see a young person with baby. The last thing a 16 year old should be thinking about is changing diapers. Yes, teen pregnancy happens often however, it still hits home to me when I see a kid who's can't vote raising a child.
Yes she was financially ready for this baby but she had a lot of growing up to do within a nine month period. Anywhooo I wish them the best.

18Jamie Lynn looks cute as always! I'm not suprised the baby is peculiar looking, Casey isn't much of a looker himself. The baby only had a 50% chance of being attractive anyway. I'm sure Jamie Lynn is doing just fine, so I wouldn't worry too much about her or Maddie.

i think maddie is cute, and i'm glad we don't get to see her that much. she may not have a normal upbringing, but i hope they can continue to keep her out of the spotlight.

26Ok, c'mon girls, the baby isn't THAT ugly. Also, she's just a baby, and I'm sure she will change. Plus, some babies are supposed to have extra hair on their ears and face for a few months, and then it falls off.
Jamie needs to take care of her hair though- it makes her
look so old!
