Katie Holmes slipped into a sleek black ensemble to host an Independent Filmmaker Project event in NYC on Sunday. Meanwhile, Tom held down the fort in LA and took Suri for a walk around the neighborhood today. Katie can shine all on her own, but her family is never too far from her thoughts. At the party she talked about how much the Cruises love a good movie marathon and also dished about their recent trip to Disney World, saying, "[Suri] loved meeting the princesses, she thought that was the best part!" Katie's got all the love she needs from Tom and Suri, which is a good thing since it looks as though she may get knocked out of our Pop 100 competition unless her fans get their votes in before it's too late.

Ya know, speaking off topic about NYC....I work here and this morning we all got the shyt scared out of us by some "photo op" with a 747 and fighter jet....I work on the 41st fl of the Chase building located like a block away from the WTC....not frickin cool...I called my husband terrified b/c the noise was so loud and the damn plane was circling the Statue of Liberty in front of my eyes....jeeez louise, I need a midtown job - ok back on subject
