Jennifer Garner brought her dimples over to The Late Show yesterday to promote Ghosts of Girlfriends Past after spending time with Violet. Always a sweetheart, she brought tea and honey on stage with her for sick David Letterman. The actress laughingly talked about her family and how Violet named her sister Sera. She got flustered when Dave complimented her beauty but didn't seem bashful at all after he put Neosporin on her various cuts. In fact she stuck the tube of antibiotics down the front of her dress after explaining how embarrassed she was at getting scraped up from falling and not from filming an action movie. 9Love her, I agree, she is very charasmatic. And to deal with those photographers you can not be a push-over if not they will walk all over you. If that is why they call her unpleasant well be it. I really appreciate that she is out there still living her life with her kids. I love that comment she made about not "outing Violet on national tv" that was cute.

20WTF is wrong with you haters! Let me start with the makeup comment- you must be young and possible single or at least not a mother. There is a simplicty that comes with being a mother and she is embrassing it very well. She doesn't give a crap about what people think of her and she doesn't need 10,000 lbs of make up to look good. A good mother puts her childs needs in front of hers and you don't get all that time to get ready.

As for her daughter helping name the kid- most parents try and get their other kids involved-its a process of keeping them involved so that they don't feel like they are being replaced by another sibling.

Ted C. over at E! online admittedly doesn't like Jennifer Garner because she didn't give him a red carpet interview once. I personally think a lot of the "sour grapes" gossip about her has been generated directly from him.
I also think it would be exhausting to put on a total personality charade 24/7.
The biggest reason I doubt all of that is because I know that friends of Ben (not the Hollywood types but the boys back home) were very very happy when he switched Jennifers. LOL.
I remember the "do my own stunts" line when she almost slipped on stage that time and also her funny line when she won some televised award (Emmy or GG?) about how she had a feeling it was coming based on her performance in "Dude Where's my Car". I dunno...I gues people who generally have a self deprecating sense of humor like that seem more genuine to me.

36I am anonymous and yet I adore Jen Garner. Always have and resent others spreading lies about her. Her husband Foley is the one who left her when he could not handle be referred to as Mr. Jennifer Garner. She was devasted. Michael Vartan who was her friend & co-star at the time (confessed to being in love with her) took the opportunity to console her and they started dating. They were together for nearly a year but they were never engaged. She and Michael are still friends to this day. She is happy now being a mom and wife (what she made for) and thank God, otherwise she would probably not it if wasn't for her soul mate Ben Affleck.
I understand its's hard to believe anyone could be so close to perfect but when I look at Jen all I can say is: "What's not to Like?"

38The whole dumping Scott Foley and Michael Vartan to trade up is crap. Have you never broken up with someone because it just didn't work or you met someone you couldn't NOT be with? She and Michael Vartan were not married. She and Scott Foley were one of those casualty relationships in Hollywood that happens when one person sees success before the other. It isn't a statement about one person over the other, but rather about how strong their relationship was before it happened.

I've actually met Jen Garner and had the opportunity to work with her on a charity event a few years back. She was funny, self deprecating, a little sarcastic, and very genuine and generous. Everyone has moments, times, and episodes where they can be different than their normal everyday demeanor and gossip sites like The Awful Truth like to take those moments, magnify them, twist them, and use them. All I've ever heard about Jen Garner is that she's a cool person and that's what I've seen.

48i love her! she and dave are sooooo funny and she has been known to get snappy when paparazzi and interviews try and involve her kids, but i think that is totally understandable. she just seems like a super awesome person and mother. i have adored her since alias days and love to see her happy and successful.
and lay off her, girl doesn't know how to dress, she knows it. but like most of hollywood with the help of a stylist she rocks it. i adore her!!!
