The Met's Costume Institute Gala did not disappoint last night in NYC, bringing us one of the most star-studded red carpets of the year. The theme was "Model as Muse," which apparently brought out some interesting fashion choices. Kate Moss and Marc Jacobs were two of the hosts and had all eyes on them when they arrived first and her outfit included a turban. Justin Timberlake was also the man of the evening with Jessica Biel on his arm.
Rihanna switched it up for her first red carpet appearance in months and still looked sexy in her dramatic menswear. Josh Jackson and Diane Kruger can do no wrong in our eyes so it was not a surprise that they're perfectly put together. Something must have gotten into the Gossip Girl ladies because they both went with bold choices — Blake slicked down her hair and showed off a long sexy slit while Leighton might have landed herself on a few worst dressed lists.
In case you missed it, Gisele Bundchen accessorized her hot dress with her new big diamond ring and hot husband. Plus I have to give a shout out to the Olsens who looked totally different but both great. Love Ashley's sexy open back dress. Why Madonna??!! What was she thinking??
1there were DEF some hits and some major misses. i loved kate beckinsale's dress - it reminded me of the dress that SJP wore int he FINALE of SATC.
i also love the color the r-bils wore, and diane is always fashion forward. poor leighton though -t hat was a mess. and katy's dress wasn't my fav either.
2Pop needs to put a picture of Sasha Pivovarova up. Now, that was an outfit worthy of the event.

Gisele looked stunning. I also loved Kate Hudson's dress and surprisingly Ashley Olsen's look.

10How stunning, rich women with excellent figures and designer friends can get it so wrong is beyond me. It's actually quite inexcusable - some of these women's only job is to wear a dress and look pretty, yet they can't even manage that!
There are a few dresses that I liked but most of them are hideous creations that make me think none of these women have common sense and that all designers secretly hate women and want to make them look ugly.
Some gorgeous outfits and some horrendous one.
11My favourites were Blake Lively, Ashley Olsen, Liv Tyler, and Leslie Mann.
The worst were Madonna, Leighton Meester, and Stella McCartney.
On the whole, I'm underwhelmed.
Once again, I'm voting Ivanka Trump as best dressed. She is gorgeous.

15Marion Cotillard is the best dressed of all - how FAB has managed to exclude her from all polls and best dressed list is a mystery to me, even more so as she is Galliano's muse!
I also like Gisele, Diane Kruger, Kate Bosworth and Kate Moss - the latter strikes a perfect balance between gala dress and costume event, unlike the Gossip Girls, who just look horrible, both of them!
What's up with Lis Hurley - is she pregnant, or is her dress just very unflattering? Odd choice for somebody who rarely deviates from a clean and body-hugging shape.
16I love this event. It allows people to go so much further beyond normal fashion and just have a ton of fun. For that reason, I think the short cocktail dresses like Cindy Crawford, Bilson's and Giselle's are a bit boring and common place for this event. If you could wear your dress on a normal red carpet, you shouldn't be wearing it here. I LOVED Rhianna's look and the Olsens', Hathaway, Ciara, and Biel. I think Kate Bosworth might be my favorite.

exactly, basically all look gorgeous...I'll never look at 300 something pics but what I saw, I actually liked the white dress one of the troll wore, Anne Hathaway looked funky (in a good way), Blake Lively whom I never think looks good, looked fab, Rihanna looked hawt and stylish....I really have nothing bad to say from this view
19Ashley Olsen wore her own design The Row and I think she looked gorgeous. Also, Diane Kruger. Love her short dress.
20to renege on previous comment, Madonna and Victoria Beckham's outfits sucked...I realize it's a costume gala but it's not a halloween party (nice head piece Vadge) and Justin Timberlake looked seeexy like that
21To point out the obvious: Madonna looked AWFUL (really, no one was worse), and Anne Hathaway looked like she came straight from a Dynasty episode. I think Rihanna stood out the most.
22too much to comment about! i thought kate bosworth looked stunning. i thought ashley olsen's hair and makeup were the best i've seen on her in a long time. madonna looks like a joke, like seriously does she really think she looks cool or something? anne hathaway's was unique but i didn't hate it. is melania trump's face frozen forever like that? didn't love the one sleeve on blake lively but overall she looked fantastic too
23My favorites by far were Kate Bosworth and Claire Danes, surprisingly. I also really liked Ashley Olsen and of course Diane Kruger.
I seriously think Madonna had to have been poking fun at herself a bit... her dress actually sort of made my morning (and not because it gave me something to make fun of). It just struck me as so fun and funny. Hard to explain.
24At first glance I hated Leighton Meester's outfit, but after looking at it more closely I kinda dig it... It was certainly a fashion risk but what better event for it?
I loved Gisele's shoes but the outfit was all wrong. I get that she's a VS model, but lingerie doesn't work on a red carpet. It was too short and too sexy for this event. But if you've got it, flaunt it I guess...

32I have to say, the outfits this year were rather disappointing.. I mean, they are not ugly, but they are not as fancy and nice as previous years.. But I really like the daring Leighton Meester and Rhiana wearing pant suits.. very adventurous..

35It's worth looking at all the outfits on Getty Images.I thought there were a lot of misses. Is it me or did people seem to be dressed a little too casual? Gisele looked beautiful but there was nothing outstanding about her little dress.

37so many fashion disaster in just one night..in fairness, the olsen twins look fab..in extreme looks but nice. their brand has good designs..
38I think Kate's MET look was so approapriate considering the supermodel theme, and her role as co-host. She took the dress and made a look out of it with the turban and accessories- Am I the only person lusting after those saffire rings?????

Kate has confirmed that of all the supermodels, she is the only one that is still relevant. She is not a supermodel- She is THE SUPERMODEL!
