Owen Wilson kept his skin protected from the sun in his big hat as he paddled around the waters in Maui yesterday. He's stayed off the red carpet since his world tour promoting Marley & Me and he's yet to make the rounds for Night at the Museum 2, which hits theaters in two weeks. Until then, he seems to be enjoying some fun in beautiful Hawaii on his break from Hollywood life after yet another breakup with Kate Hudson.

Is it a requirement for all celebs that go on vacation to hawaii to do this paddling thing? That's all we ever see them do there!
1well hawaii is far enough away that they are out of LA but it's not that long of a flight...maybe 4 hours right? in any event, i'm jealous and i want to go!

According to the Twitterati, he's been out at the bars on a regular basis for the last month or so plus the pic of him drinking alone in CA a couple of weeks ago.
All his handlers care about is PERCEPTION - pretty, happy pictures available for public consumption; ready to be printed in "People" magazine. "Owen's all better, folks -there's nothing to see here."
I'm sad for him.
7OPEN LETTER: Owen, you are cute, funny, and seem like a genuinely nice guy. I (and probably a whole slew of nice girls) would gladly date you! I mean, you were in Hansel in Zoolander. That's good enough for me! Why do you keep playing around with Kate Hudson when you know she's going to dump you for the umpteenth time? Find a nice girl.
