This week Rihanna took over Mariah's crown as Venus Breeze “Celebrity Legs of a Goddess” and made a showing on TRL to promote her new album, Good Girl Gone Bad. Obviously she's in high demand which may explain why Jay-Z -- who discovered her, signed her and acts as her mentor -- has been screening potential suitors: "He's very protective. Jay has my best interests in mind. If it's a good guy I know Jay won't shut him down. But if he's not, Jay will be like, 'No, no, no.'" Sounds like he's just trying to protect her, but considering she is 19, is it a bit much?

1I don't think there's anything wrong with caring for her in that way. They work together a lot, so of course they're bound to form some sort of close relationship with one another. People overreact.
2I think he's just trying to help her out. She's pretty young and probably nieve and there are alot of dogs out there. I think it would feel nice to have an older male friend sticking up and looking out for me like that.
