Ryan Gosling was not looking his best in Pennsylvania yesterday, but rest assured — his black eye and busted nose were just for his role in Blue Valentine. Poor Ryan looked a bit sad with his bouquet of flowers in hand while he filmed with a few of his pint-size costars. Seems like the movie features another drawn out romance like in The Notebook, but Ryan's never been one to shy away from a complicated love story.

4I actually think he looks better with the makeup, for it covers up some of the fug. The less visible his face is, the better looking he becomes.
