We've heard a lot about a Gossip Girl spinoff focusing on the life of young Lily, and next week we will get to see a sneak peek at the potential new show. Now it sounds like the series may not get picked up after all — apparently the show's fate is up in the air after mixed reviews, and there may not be enough room for it in the CW's Fall lineup. So tell us — will you be disappointed if the spinoff doesn't get picked up?

nope - it wouldn't affect me at all. i don't really think that people would be TOO upset about it.
1One of the best parts about Gossip Girl is the fabulous clothing. Somehow, I doubt there will be a lot of looks to want to emulate on this show.
2Why are they even attempting to make the fall lineup? Why not try for a summer run? It would be a little weird to run it alongside Gossip Girl. But I can't say I'm really more interested in "Lily"'s alleged competition either...

8I have to agree with shining eyes - I think it would be a nice antidote to the summer doldrums and could pick up some speed that way. But that said, I don't think Mischa's new show should take its spot in the fall line-up. Anything but her, she can't act her way out of a paperbag.

13Nope. I didn't think it was a good idea to have a GG spin-off, so I'm not suprised that this may happen.
14And Lily's hardly the most interesting of characters
It's hard to say without watching it first. But to be honest I've been pretty bored with GG lately so I wouldn't be that upset if this one didn't work out.
15The other day I found out that one tree hill was still on air they could cancelled that and replaced with the new show. I mean it´s not like CW has a lot of good shows anyway I only watch GG!
16I mean I would watch the show if it aired--but I just have to say--No room in the CW line up?? They replay 90210 and other shows more than once a week?!?! I think they could squeeze in new programming. I agree with the summer idea though.

18umm what are you talking about, OTH gets more viewers typically than GG. I agree with the summer run though, it probably would be better so the 2 shows don't interfere with ratings because they are similar in terms of demographics and who they're trying to reach out to.

23I wonder if now that the episode has aired people will feel differently - I personally thought it was a great idea and was really looking forward to it. now that I've seen the first look, I will be extremely disappointed if it doesn't get picked up.
24see, the main problem is that GOSSIP GIRL IS STUPID! I will admit, it was a guilty pleasure at first, and I do love the fashion, but other than Blair and Chick (who even get a little annoying), I can't stand any of the characters. they are all so boring, stupid, and they keep doing the same thing over and over!
anyhoo, I personally thought the whole thing was so fresh and fun...
