Matthew Broderick gave James Wilkie a lift on his scooter as they made their way to school on Friday morning in NYC. Aside from tackling the city on two wheels, Matthew's been busy promoting his new Broadway show, The Philanthropist. He made an appearance on The Late Show earlier in the week, opening up about the two things on everyone's minds — the twins he and Sarah Jessica Parker are expecting via surrogate. Here's more:

- On James' reaction to his new siblings: "He's pretty excited. . . He said, 'We have to get a lot of princess toys.' . . . He's just now thinking, 'Wait a minute, am I [not going to be an only child anymore]?' . . . He's a pretty grown up kid."
- On being nervous: "Oh man, I'm nervous just even thinking about it."
- On being ready: "Yeah, I'm ready. You know, I've asked people, 'What's it like to have twins?' One father said, 'I don't recommend it.' But the rest have been very positive."

I think James is so so cute
1And I can't wait for Matthew and SJP's twins!
I don't think that women should keep having babies into their menopause years, but that's just my opinion. Darwin would have a field day with all of this.
2Gosh Ferris Bueller is so OLD! Congrats again to the couple, twins is a blessing and I am sure they will make great parents to them!
3James Wilkie needs a good hair cut.
4Im happy for them about their twins girls
I agree with fleurfairy and marlowe about the hair cut, it's got to be embarrassing when people say "oh your a cute little girl" and when they go to school "oh how nice your grandma brought you today" no it's my mom.
5MB is looking OLD!!! Dude at least dye your hair and lose the sideburns!
6I hate gender stereotypes. We need to leave that back in the 1950's. Girl doesn't always have to = pink/princess/kitchen and dolls. How about boats, firetrucks, moons and planets. Sorry but I just had to let that out.
7well i'm sure that james will be ok with it. he's the big brother and gets to be over protective to his little sisters. it's also the fact that he's much older than them so he can teach them a lot. as for MB, i like that he's got a new show in the works, and i hope that things continue to go well for him.
8when did a woman's 40s become her menopause years?
