Blake Lively and Penn Badgley headed to Broadway over the weekend to check out Shrek: The Musical before posing with the famous green ogre himself. Last night, we got treated to a unique Gossip Girl. What could have been an awesome prom episode was overshadowed by Lily's potential spinoff — though many of you are interested in seeing more. As much as we enjoyed the '80s flashback, from the overdone hair and makeup to the old-school gadgets, we would rather have watched a whole episode of Dan, Serena, and the rest of the gang enjoying one of the most important nights of high school.

4yes, agree, i wasn't enjoying the flashbacks at all. Chuck Bass was amazing last night, not usually a fan of Bass but he has been pretty good, showing a soft side of Chuck..

9I really liked the flashbacks, but couldn't they have kept that for the show (that's if it IS happening), but I agree with you on the last sentence. They completely ruined what could've been a great episode. They should've dedicated the whole episode to the prom!

Ugh, that flashback episode last night was TERRIBLE!! I forced myself to sit through it so I could see the prom dresses..

12Ditto all the comments about the flashback episode, If It wasnt for wanting to see the prom dresses and Chuck Bass and I would have changed the channel, permanently. I cant see how they could pick that up as a spinoff it's lacking interest. IMO
13I think she's so pretty. But sometimes I wish she'd switch it up with her hair.
14I love Blake and I think she's gorgeous and looks cute her, but this outfit makes her look like someone's hot mom.
15I havent seen that episode yet, its not aired over here. Im not sure what i think of them as a couple
