All bets are off after the final three performed on last night's American Idol. After being written off, Kris Allen's performances should make tonight's elimination pretty interesting, though let's start with Danny Gokey. Paula was in charge of Danny's judges' choice song, and she went with "Dance Little Sister," which was fine — his voice sounded good but the performance was nothing special. Simon praised his vocals but was already under attack from the female judges, which escalated into sparring with Kara all night long. Danny redeemed himself when he choose "You Are So Beautiful" for his second song. He sounded great, which all the judges agreed on, and Simon even commended him for being in a "vocal master class."
Randy and Kara were in charge of choosing Kris Allen's first song, and they went with "Apologize" by One Republic. As a fan of the song, I thoroughly enjoyed the performance, but the judges weren't so enthusiastic, and Simon blamed Kara and Randy for not giving him a good enough arrangement. Kris made it interesting when it came time to choose his own — surprising everyone by going with "Heartless" by Kanye West. What could have been a disaster turned out to be a game-changing performance. Simon said it put him back in the game, and it had at least a couple Sugar girls voting for the first time this season.

Adam Lambert took last night to show off his vocal range once and for all. Simon choose U2's "One," casually slipping in that he had to get permission from Bono himself to use the song. Adam strayed from the original, which could turn off some U2 fans, but the judges liked it and Simon called it "brilliant." For the last performance of the night, Adam choose Aerosmith's "Cryin'" and sang his heart out. The judges all loved it and preemptively congratulated him on making it to the finals. Simon, who predicts Adam will win it all, reminded viewers that they need to actually vote for him rather than assume he's sailing through to the finale.
As for who is going home tonight, your guess is as good as mine, but I'm going with Gokey. Check out Buzz's thoughts here, and tell us, who do you think will be eliminated?

I'd like to see Chris and Adam in the final. Danny has a great voice but his performances bore me to pieces.
1I like these three (except for Danny's personality, which is grating, but the voice is lovely), and I'm sure Adam will win and I'm OK with that, but his scream-singing last night was overkill. The novelty has worn off a bit for me.... I do like the tone of Kris' voice very much and have since day 1, but he wasn't as strong as Danny last night and could be in trouble....
2I'm a Kris fan after last night.I thought he did really good.I really hope he makes it into the finale.
3I don't know what it is about Danny, but he doesn't look like a star, he looks like a wanna be star, which I know he is but.....It's like he's karaoke Gokey...I think he sings REALLY well I just am not digging him. I hope it's Adam and Kris in the finale.
4One by U2 is one of my favorite songs of all time and Adam totally butchered it. Like Anonymous said above, his screaming was a total overkill.
5Ill have to give it to Chris last night for best performance but Adam is still going to win the finale LOVE HIM! I think Danny's time is up.
6I noticed that I am getting bored with Adam. Kris was a standout for me last night, really liked his take on Heartless.
7Kris was always my favorite from the beginning I hope he makes it to the finale. of the 3 he is the only recory I would buy.
8KRIS & DANNY IN THE FINALS!!!
I'm so sick of Adam and would never ever buy his album. Who wants to listen to 13 songs in a row like that? Definitely not me!
9GOKEY 2 GO
10Way to go Popsugar, way to report on Kris and Danny yet not even mention Adam. Bias, anyone??
11i'm with everyone else. the sing/screaming from adam has lost it's novelty. if he wouldn't do it in EVERY song he sings, i'd be all for him.
12adam does the exact same thing in every song!! it's getting old.
I love Kris after last night.
13Danny and Kris in the finale definitely
I think Adam is a one trick pony. He does one thing well, except I don't care for that sound that comes out of his mouth, that shriek. I'd love to see a Kris and Danny upset for the final two!
14Anonymous : "Way to go Popsugar, way to report on Kris and Danny yet not even mention Adam. Bias, anyone??"
if you kept reading the story you would have read Pops views on Adam....
15Love them all, but Kris is an artist I, personally, would love to hear on the radio and would actually listen to. He may not be the Idol, but he sure needs a record deal. Loved his rendition of Heartless, much better than the beaty Kanye version. I actually listened to the lyrics! Adam probably will win it all, but Kris should most definitely make it to the finals! :]
16I hope America agrees with everyone here. I am so sick of Danny....his personality just gets on my nerves and every single song he sings sounds exactly the same. I would never buy his album. In fact, Kris's album is really the only one I would ever purchase. Go Kris!!
17Heartless was one of my favorite performances this season. If Kris goes home after that (and he shouldn't), at least he'll be leaving on a high note. It was brilliant.
I agree that Kris is an artist. He knows exactly who he is and he puts his own spin on everything he sings. He is the total package and why Idol doesn't seem to want him baffles me. He's incredible and if he's packaged correctly, he could have a great career.
18Sorry all you Adam haters he's still gonna win! LOVE HIM!
19I love Kris! He is such an authentic person and never tries to be anything but himself. He is always creative and keeps me wanting more! I hope all the Danny voters will vote for Kris in the finale!
