Suri Cruise held Katie Holmes by the hand as the girls left dance class in LA earlier today. The mother-daughter duo has been diligently visiting the studio for months now, though it doesn't sound like Katie's next project is going to utilize her newly honed skills on the dance floor. She'll be taking on a role in Guillermo del Toro's scary-sounding thriller Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, which will be a departure from what we've seen from her recently. On Friday, it will be Tom who opens up about his career on AMC's Storymakers, where he reveals why he has yet to take on directing, saying, "It’s really about my kids . . . the amount of time. Even if I’m producing a film or acting in a movie, it’s different than directing. I’ve been offered things to direct so one day I will do it . . . but right now, I’m having so much fun as an actor."

1For weeks (months??) now there have been all these photos captioned about her leaving a dance studio. Has Pop or anyone reported why she's there? Is this for some particular role or just exercise class or.... I'm not a fan of her "talent" (lack thereof) but at this point I'm like, WTF already.

10it really bugs me that people are so negative and judgmental about her and her family. i think that it's great that she spends so much time with her daughter and if you think about it, the reason MAY be that suri's one of the few people that aren't out to use katie's celebrity and that's why she doesn't hang out with other people.
as for WHY she's at the dance studio - maybe it's just somethign that she likes to do and can do with her daughter. think about it - if she goes shopping there are papps FOLLOWING her everywhere. if she goes out to eat, then they are there too. at least IN the studio - photogs can't bother her and it's a GREAT work out.

14Those curtains on the big black SUV her bodyguards drive her around in remind me of a hearse. Kinda creeps me out. Everything about TomKat creeps out though.
And I don't think people should get so bothered and offended that not everyone likes Katie Holmes. I've met her more than a few times. And...my impression? Not so likable. LOL. But Suri sure is a cute kid.
It does bug that people think Katie doesn't have a nanny based solely on these photo ops because she actually employs several.
