I will never blame a celebrity for "attacking" the paps after seeing some idiot sneaking up on Liev & Sasha Schreiber from behind and sticking the camera into a child's face. And then egging Liev on to hit him.
1And hopefully Liev Schreiber acted appropriately in front of his child, showing him that using physical violence is NOT the way to treat annoying and instigating people. To approach someone when you are infuriated means that you will most likely do something that you will later regret, that could have been better dealt with by the authorities who are trained to try to keep situations like this under control. Taking the law into your own hands is not the answer and using physical violence to get your point across is WRONG! When you are a celebrity it is unfortunate that part of the business is dealing with the public, and not always in a good situation. When it becomes a bad situation, call for help - do not try to handle it on your own. And, especially if you are in an angry mood, back off. Hopefully, if Gerard has children and is out in public with them, he will learn to control his anger and show more restraint for the sake of his children. And, if he feels his children are in any danger, he will remove his children from the situation as quickly as possible, without throwing punches.
2Amen Hockey Princess - I have seen some of the video clips of the pap's and even just regular every day people acting like abusive a-holes around celebs. WTF? Some of the stuff I have seen these idiots do to celebs would be grounds for harrassment at the very least. Punch on, Gerard!
