Cameron Diaz looks carefree and ready for Summer on the June cover of Vogue. It's been a year since we've seen her up on the big screen, but Cameron is about to hit the box office again with My Sister's Keeper. The photos show the breezy California girl we love — see behind the scenes footage here. In the interview, she touches on the film, getting older, and taking on new challenges. Here are highlights:
- On her new movie: "It's about falling in love. It's about all different kinds of love. Parents falling in love with their children. Children falling in love with their parents. Falling in love for the first time. Falling in love with being a teenager. All of the things that you fall in love with, that our hearts give way to over a lifetime, and then the heartbreaks when those things get taken away.
- On the roles she chooses: "People who put labels on themselves limit themselves. If you are a woman who's been labeled as a sex symbol, for instance — I mean, I am not saying that's the label people would apply to me. But if you see yourself that way, inevitably you get to a point when you are no longer a sex symbol. And if you can't move past that, you're putting a limit on yourself; you're arresting your development. And that's where I think a lot of women get in trouble."
- On aging: "It's a journey. It's a total journey. But it's also true. I mean, I'm not 25 years old anymore, nor do I want to be. I wouldn't even want to go back to being 30. You know what I mean? That journey—I've done it already. I don't want to do it again. It's a lot of work to get through it, and I am excited about moving forward. I think that people get caught up in getting back to some place that they already passed. Or to a place where you cannot stay."

Wow she looks so pretty! I love that second picture of her, that dress and her hair look gorgeous.
1old..no kids...just old
2she looks so....airbrushed. vogue covers are getting uglier and uglier. i'd rather see models.
3Wow... that's a "Fug the Cover" entry if ever I saw one. She looks weird!
4i love the way these older actresses always say how much they love being 35, 40, 50 and wouldn't ever want to be in their 20's again yet they work overtime TRYING to look 25. it's laughable and a little pathetic.
5I think she looks gorgeous.
6stunning pictures...so elegant. finally a real star on the vogue cover...A-list
7She seems like a cool chick-
8Gorgeous pictures
9I also like the interview, there's no bullsh*t with her
she's been getting a lot of flack about 'my sister's keeper' and how people think that she wasn't the right choice but i hope that the movie really does turn out to be good. i love cam and it's nice to see her branch out from comedy which is what we are used to seeing from her.
10She seems to be very fun. I'd want her as a friend.
11Love her. She looks gorgeous. I think she's aging gracefully. She's one of those people that has charisma, that elusive but desirable thing. Also she seems like she loves life. She's realistic about aging and doesn't look like botoxed to death like other actresses out there.
12she looks so airbrushed in these pictures...thank god cause her face is starting to look really bad as she ages
13I don't care for Cameron, I never hear anything good about her with the way she treats the press or her fans.
She is NOT aging well either.
That said, I agree with her...I would never go back to being 20, for example, because that WAS a lot of hard work to get through. This is a healthy way of looking at life.
In her defense - though I normally wouldn't do so - I don't think she is talking about not wanting to LOOK 25 or 30 but rather where her head is at. Regardless of how much you wouldn't want to relive a certain time period, I know that I wouldn't mind having the skin I had at age 20...
14PS her face has always looked a bit wonky but I guess that's her charm? I also think she looks really fresh on this cover actually, I like the white getup.
15i hear they changed the ending of My Sister's Keeper and people are pissed.
16I appreciate her view on aging. I think it's healthy and realistic. Good for her.
17I don't have anything against Cameron Diaz and have enjoyed her in many things...but I think we've all seen recent evidence that she doesn't look quite that perfect with a dewy, line-free complexion anymore.
The photo cover has obviously been airbrushed to reverse the natural signs of her aging--which is sort of ironic and amusing in contrast to her quotes within the article itself.
18looks pretty afar but not upclose
19over time it's obvious cameron doesn't look like she did when she first came out, but i think she still looks great. she has an upbeat personality, fit body and happy face which i find beautiful, i would love to be friends with her!
20I actually like Diaz more and more each year. I think she is actually being honest and doing better than ever. After the Timberlake breakup she seemed off and pining for the past, so it's really great to see her embracing that her happiness depends on her, and no one else. And I wouldn't want to be younger either. Good riddance to that past mess!
21She looks gorgeous here. I saw her at an LA Starbucks once and she was extremely smiley and friendly to everyone. It left an impression on me.
22Very pretty, love her personality.
23I actually like her more as she gets older. I also think that she's ageing nicely, and more healthly than some other actresses. I mean if her face weren't airbrushed here, we'd see a lot more of her age in it but I happen to like laughlines. Maybe she doesn't look as "fresh", she's probably got some sun damage, and her genes might make her more supceptible to wrinkles but at least she still looks good and healthy without going the route of all that plastic surgery.
24* laugh lines
25* supceptable
Yeah she looks so much better here than in real life, because she's photoshopped so much. I wish and I know she wishes she looked that good. I thought she looked HORRIBLE in What Happens in Vegas. Too much time in the sun will do this to you.
26i think she has one of the most infectuous (spelling?) smiles. it lights up her whole face. i hope My Sisters Keeper does well. i'd like to see her do something other than rom-coms. she's getting too old for movies like What Happens in Vegas.
27fabulous!
