I have easy virtue on dvd, she is fantastic in it! it's such a good film, with a great cast! LOL at the looks part, some one on americas next top model said something about being too pretty, and i guess people could only see what she looks like. But she is a pretty good actress, so good luck to her!

I don't have a problem with Jessica but she's a little off on this one. If you think you're not being taken seriously because of your looks how about stop posing for men's magazines, take control of your career. People don't cast her because she's not a sure thing for money or oscar buzz, Scarlett and Natalie may not make a lot of money at the box office but they typically have critically acclaimed performances.

Sounds like she said that statement without really thinking about it first. I think she's gorgeous (did anyone see The Illusionist??) and I do kinda see her point that she may not get any roles because she's too good looking, but heck if it really is that much a problem then she should stop working out and eat loads of burgers and see what happens then

She is not ugly at all, but I don't think she is "hollywood" gorgeous. Plus her acting abilities leave something to be desired.

She has a nice body but a rather plain face. But more importantly, she is not very likeable and when she makes statements like that, it gives even more reason for people to dislike her.

There are so many women examples that are beautiful and are successful in Hollywood (Halle, Angelina, Charlize, Natalie). Maybe she should look at her lack of acting skills. The press was all over her, like they are now about Megan Fox, a few years ago, but since then she didn't make a decent movie to keep the public's attention.

She simply does not have the talent for the top roles. She can blame it on something as stupid as being too pretty, but if she was good enough she'd get the parts. I think she looks kind of butch anyway.

I would love to see the actual quote -- if you click on the link to the Allure "behind the scenes," Biel doesn't say anything about being "too beautiful." She actually says she's interested in roles that end up going to Scarlett or Natalie. Again, I haven't read the whole article but it seems like something was maybe taken out of context.

LOL! Wow. Just wow. Look at some of the actresses who get serious roles: Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Amy Adams. They're all considered beautiful by many, many people. If she thinks it's hard trying to get people to take her seriously, she should try being someone who doesn't fit into standard ideals of beauty and see if *anyone* in Hollywood would take her seriously then. She speaks about how unfair it is that some people don't even want to see her audition--oh PLEASE. So many people struggle for years and years in Hollywood trying to get anyone to see them, and most of them hardly get anywhere.

Some celebrities seem to have such incredibly distorted views. She should feel lucky for being as successful as she is, for even getting work. This is what happens with people who have gigantic egos--they come up with reasons why they're not getting what they want, and it's always some injustice against them. "Oh, I'm SO beautiful that they can't see past that to my amazing talent." Get over yourself.

When Michelle Pfeiffer and Charlize Theron made those complaints, I could see that. They had those natural classically beautiful faces. But Jessica Biel?
