Winter on the East Coast can feel like forever but that never stopped the mother-daughter duo from enjoying the outdoors in the city. These days, Michelle has been filming Blue Valentine with Ryan Gosling while her boyfriend Spike Jonze has been hard at work putting finishing touches on Where The Wild Things Are and keeping fans updated on his cool creative process.

1^The title is just a play on words (because Michelle's boyfriend is directing Where the Wild Things Are). It didn't really sound stalker-ish.
2I love that she really tries and has so far managed to give Matilda such a normal happy little active life in the midst of all that crazy media attention--not to mention the tragedy of her losing her dad.
I know the woman is Michelle's mom but in that photo the dark-haired friend seems to have Michelle's same profile. I'm thinking she must be a relative too.

12Haha, I'd love to babysit Matilda too! She's a doll. I still see a ton of Heath in her but in picture number 7 she is all Michelle. Just a beautiful child and a wonderful mix of both parents.
13Who cares about Michelle Williams and Matilda? When Matilda is 18 and if she decides to enter the celebrity world, well fine, let's have photos of her then, but not when she is a defenceless child who happens to have a hypocritical mother who rants against paps but then goes and poses for them with her child because she knows that will be the only way to get her C-list name in the gossip rags. Sorry but I just don't like it one bit.
