Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z grabbed lunch at a restaurant in Barcelona yesterday prior to her show there last night. Her European tour has brought her from France to Germany and now Spain, and it looks like Jay-Z left his partying behind in the US to join his wife abroad. Hopefully they'll be able to enjoy a few days together since she's off until her show in the UK on Saturday. Downtime doesn't mean that Beyonce won't be hitting the gym, though, as she recently opened up to Self about how hard she trains to look so fantastic. Here's more:
- On working out: "I'm not one of those people who doesn't have to work at it. I can't eat what I want, and I can't not go to the gym . . . I'm trying to do as much cardio as I can, so if I have a really long day of dancing [in rehearsals], then I'll run maybe three miles. If not, then I'll run six."
- On looking sexy: "To me, it's sexier when it doesn't look like you go to the gym. If you look like you've been spending a lot of time in the gym, then it just looks like you spend a lot of time in the gym. So I never want to get to that point where it's not natural. I think it's important to feel like a woman, as well as look like a woman."
- On being curvy: "I feel best when I'm not really thin and not really heavy, like now, when I'm still curvy. I really believe that everyone is supposed to be different, and whatever is a natural weight for you is usually what looks best."
- On indulging: "When I'm completely overwhelmed and tired, comfort food helps. I'll want to have some ice cream. Or when the tour is behind, I'm like, I just want some Krispy Kremes! There's too much good food out there to never indulge."
Whatever Beyonce's doing to stay in such great shape, it's clear Jay's a fan. To see more photos of the happy couple, just read more.

Amen, sister !
1its refreshing to hear a celeb say that she actually has to work out. B's body is fantastic and i love the curves.
she seems so divalicious in photos, but in interviews she seems very down-home and normal. who else talks about krispy kremes????
2i agree with her about the natural weight comment,it always look best when it's natural and not forced.
3They both look great.
4She sounds like so many women I know, so normal! There's obviously a little bit of anxiety there, she wants/ needs to look good, but she can't resist sugar sometimes. I don't like her music but I think she seems like a good woman who was raised well.
5i'm glad that jay-z had a chance to go overseas to be with her - it has to get lonely sometimes being on the road for so long.
i like how she's 'real' about her body and what she has to do to maintain.
6i'm jealous of these two. they know how to live!
7I agree with her totally
8I love these two together
9She seems like such a sweet heart, and I really respect how much effort these two have gone through to protect their privacy. Their wedding photos have never been released! How refreshing that they don't sell them to tabloids, etc. She seems like she has a really healthy attitude on life, and I think that is why she has managed work so hard for so long.
10I agree with what she said, but I worry about her feet always in shoes like that.
11Wow this makes me like her more. She sounds so down to earth and honest.
126 miles a day!! WOW!!
13No wonder I don't look like beyonce yet.
I don't love her music, but I respect that she's kept her life private. And it's definitely nice to see a star admitting how hard they work to keep in shape.
14It's a nice change from "Oh I never work out and I eat chocolate all day...I just happen to be a size 0"
15Amen to every word she said! It's great to see that she has a realistic and healthy approach to her body!
16And her and Jay look great
LOVE THE SHOES
17GOOD FOR HER!!! i have the same sentiments
18i love this couple
19anyone know what shoes she's wearing?
