Last night American Idol finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert took the stage for the last time, joined by former contestants and big stars alike. Nicole Richie enjoyed her dad's duet with Danny Gokey with Joel and her little sister Sophia, while Victoria and Romeo Beckham took seats in the audience as well. As promised, the night was full of fun surprises from Kara's surprise sing along (and smokin' hot bikini body — who knew?) to an awesome rendition of "We Are the Champions" featuring Queen.
Other favorites were Fergie getting down with the Black Eyed Peas and Allison singing "Time After Time" with Cyndi Lauper — what was your favorite moment? Of course, the biggest surprise of the night may have been Kris's big win, and no one looked more shocked than the new idol himself. Whether or not you agree with the results, both Adam and Kris proved their star power all season and we're sure that we'll be seeing and hearing a whole lot more from these talented boys in the years to come. 4Loved Kris and Keith Urban. That was my fave performance.
5It was a really fun night, but Kris & Keith Urban's performance was the best part for me. It's easy not to notice it, because it was one of the more understated performances of the night, but it was perfection. Loved David Cook as well. Rod Stewart seemed a bit off. I don't want to say he was drunk, but definitely off.
6I LOVE that Kara got the best of Bikini Girl (who ruined that nice body with those giant rocks for boobs)

Adam fans get so worked up about him being a way better vocalist (btw, I am an Adam fan) but it's not just about hitting high notes and belting out songs.
It's just a style preference. I'd rather hear Keith Urban than Kiss, plain and simple.
Rubben, Fantasia, Katherine...all great vocalists and look where they are now.

9I don't watch the show, but the pics I've seen on here... it looks like Adam was genuinely happy for Kris. That makes me like him even more.
10Yes, Kris and his wife at the end..when I was watching it live I literally let out an "awwww". Also, when the winner was announced, I lost my breath for a second. So surprised and so happy for him. He was my fave all along. Never cared for Adam, but hope he does well.
Also, so funny watching Kara upstage Bikini Girl. Last night's show was pretty amazing overall.

13adam is cleary better in every single way. he was finally a breath of fresh air. he was unique talented and amazing no matter what he sang. he is better off doing his own thing rather then american idol telling him what to sing. congrats to kris, but lets be honest here. ... adam should have won!!!!!

15lovvvvvvvvvvvvve the emotion, it's so intense. too hard to choose but judges made their decision. paula's my favorite. i love how she's not afraid to show her emotions.
