Katie Holmes headed to Washington DC over the weekend to take the stage with Diane Wiest, her All My Sons costar, at a special Memorial Day concert. After a quick run-through on Saturday afternoon in her floral shirt, Katie put on a navy blue top to act out a scene later in the evening. She opened up about her participation in the event, saying, "It's a real gift." Katie also revealed that she's prepping to spend the Summer filming her latest project in Australia, where she'll be joined by Tom and Suri. Her husband and daughter also spent the past few days in the capital and were on hand to cheer her on from the audience.

LOl, funny you say that. i remember last fall when she was doing that play, everybody laughed about her boyfriend jeans and now every celebrity wears them. she really set the trend this season ..i know so many people who wear those jeans..including myself.

15I find it funny too how you think it was her who set the trend. It's not like she took tom cruise's jeans and put them on, the trend was there. Labels were already making them when she started wearing them. She just decided to wear them every single day and some people thought it was actually her who started it. Believe she was not the brains before the trend.

22You need to remember Katie Holmes has only been Mrs. Tom Cruise for the past few years. For a very long time she was just another twenty-something actress on a TV teen drama that filmed in a little town in North Carolina. Delusional? Not so much. LOL. In fact I have a pretty realistic view of her.

25She does look classy sometimes, but I don't think she can be defined as classy. Some of the stuff she's been seen wearing the last few weeks are definitely not classy. Regarding the boyfriend jeans, I agree, it wasn't her who started it.
26That is true that Katie made the BF jeans popular. It was NY Daily News who reported that and she increased the sales of it and she started many trends. Sprinkles even said Katie made Sprinkles and cupcakes popular. I got the news videos for this but Popsugar is still looking at it and waiting for approval.
27Motherofpearl comments Katie looked sad. AP,CNN,ET,E news all reported it was an emotional night remember our veterans and current soldiers who all suffered and died but also honoring their families.Katie did get emotional reenacting her part and there was not a dry eye that night.

28katie looks great...maybe a little tired, but still looks good. i agree...most of her clothing choices lately have not been good. i still miss the young, bubbly looking girl. she just really looks TIRED. all the time.
