Lindsay Has Katie to Thank For Her Latest Role
Lindsay Lohan was back to blowing her signature kisses to photographers last night as she walked into her LA home with a friend. It was a relatively tame weekend for the starlet, with another trip out on Friday in her acid-washed jeans for a dinner with friends at the Chateau Marmont. Maybe Lindsay really is going to be on good behavior as she gets ready for her new role in The Other Side, which Katie Holmes was apparently going to star in until a scheduling conflict arose. It's a great step for LL to get one of Katie's parts, and, according to LL's Twitter, she was hoping to celebrate by enjoying "cuddle time" with a special someone.

well i'm sure that if katie walked away from the part then it has to be a bit less than wonderful - but maybe i'm wrong. i don't know. i guess i'm kind of rooting for LL to do ok but i just don't have faith based on her track record.
1I highly doubt it was scheduling conflicts. That's the oldest excuse in the book.
The two actresses are very much on par with each other however so it's a lateral move. Katie isn't any better or any worse an actress that La Lohan (well...maybe worse) nor does she have a better resume. All Katie did was marry well.
If Lindsay and Katie were matched on experience and talent alone they are about equal actresses. Katie only gets her A-list status from Tom and I don't think that's a fair comparison. Standing on her own she has nothing more or less to offer to a role than Lindsay. They are even comparable as tabloid favorites.
2that's true nutmeg, but Katie has a better reputation as far as being professional and having her life together.
3Lindsay Lohan is a much better actress than Katie Holmes.
4Katie wasn't invited back to the Batman franchise because of her atrocious behavior in using the promotion of her movie to instead promote her "romance" with Tom Cruise. And NO ONE wants his insanity hanging around their movie set.
