Tom Brady took Jack out for a bike ride around Boston yesterday, bringing Gisele's puppy Vida along in the front basket. After being sidelined with an injury last season, the newlywed QB is excited about more than hitting the field. Tom doesn't often talk about his personal life, but he recently revealed a bit about his relationship with his son and more. Here's highlights:
- On sharing custody of Jack: "I don't see him every day, and we play when I change his diaper: lifting his leg up, playing with his toes, biting his feet. There's this different appreciation. If you had him every day, you'd go, Let's just get this done. But when you get him, say, one week a month, you're like, This is so cool!"
- On paparazzi claiming there were shots fired at his wedding: "Absolute total b.s. We found two guys on our property, and we told them to get out. Our security guys didn't even have guns. There were no shots fired."
- On football: "I want to play another 10 years [...] People say, 'What will you do if you don't play football?' Why would I even think of doing anything else? What would I do instead of run out in front of 80,000 people and command 52 guys and be around guys I consider brothers and be one of the real gladiators? Why would I ever want to do anything else? It's so hard to think of anything that would match what I do: Fly to the moon? Jump out of planes? Bungee-jump off cliffs? None of that s--- matters to me. I want to play this game I love, be with my wife and son, and enjoy life."
Tom sounds anxious to get back to the field, and with rumors that Gisele is pregnant, his cheering section might be even bigger than his wife and son.

HAHA what a nice parent... isnt it convenient, that you dont have to be a full-time parent? oh mann.. he really is a very good dad! i pity all those people who have to see their kids every day, they must not feel any joy sigh
1Sweet scene. I hope the rumors are true about her pregnancy. Love them together.
2Yeah...that didn't come out right but at least (I think) he means well. A lot of new parents seem to express that feeling that everything that happens with them/their child is totally unique and amazing.
3Hopefully Gisele is pregnant. We all know this woman wants a baby of her own.
He sounds like a good dad and that's what Jack needs. A good mother and a good father. Good step-parents are definitely a bonus to a child.
4i like tom,he does sound like a good dad, nothing wrong with what he said, some parents do take those little things for granted, and don't take the time to really enjoy those little moments with their kids....
5BOOOO TOM BRADY. I don't usually dislike celebrities in this way, but being an insane football fan, I was soooo happy to watch Brady get sacked over and over and over again in SuperBowl 43.
6Ugh, why are allllll pro athletes, past and present, so damned ecocentric. Tom's a gladiator now? An icon? King of the universe? Dull as dishwater...get over yourself.
7Some parents manage to love their kids just as much when they have them every day. I pity any kid he does have full time.
8Isnt his son's name John, not Jack?
9He stuck his foot in his mouth for sure!
10A correction here...Gisele's pet name is VIDA not Gia.
11I think he's a good dad.
12he sounds like a douche
13Why do people have to slam Tom for not being a "full-time" parent? He is not with his son's mother so technically he can never be full-time but that doesn't mean he loves his son any less or makes him less of a parent. He and Gisele can love the baby as well as Bridget so people need to lay off and let the baby have 3 parents to love him!
14that baby doesn't have 3 parents. he has 2 parents. the other is a stepmother. get over it.
15I don't know, just because I am a full time parent doesn't mean I take anything for granted. I may not have the luxury of dropping my son off somewhere else and going off to live my fabulous life - but hey, I still play with his toes.
16Again, stepparents Can actually love their stepchildren!! Gisele has been with Tom since the baby was born so its natural for him to love him-granted different than his mother, but still love him
17He didn't say anything wrong. He's not saying that parents who get to be with their kids full-time take it for granted or that they're swept up in routine and don't appreciate their time with them. He was just saying that because he doesn't get to be with John as often as a parent normally would, he savors and fully appreciates every single moment, which I think is completely understandable.
18He seems like a good father to me, and that pic is so darn cute! Wish the media would leave them all alone...
I think he's a good guy- and he's so hot
19Ha ha ha. I was think why "a Bicycle Built For Three"?!! After a long time I saw Vida.
20The guy is talking about his feeling for his child and people have to take offense as if he's talking about them. Why do people even bother try to have a conversation with people in this country. It's like speaking to a wall. Scratch that. I think a wall has more common sense. He's not talking about you & your child. Get over yourselves.
21He looks like a whipped loser toting Gisele's rat looking dog around but his son is adorable. Too bad he has to stare at his dad's butt during the entire bike ride.
22well i hope that this season is better for him and he's able to play. knees are very touchy things.
