In an interview airing today on The View, Kara DioGuardi spoke out about Adam Lambert's sexuality saying: "I don't think that Adam was ever in [the closet]. I think he was always openly out . . . I think he was. I mean, from what I've seen . . . I do. I never thought he wasn't."
Adam has been ambiguous about this for a while, asking people to keep speculating amid rumors he's planning to come out on the next Rolling Stone cover. Kara's statements aren't really surprising, but it could be seen as not her news to share. So tell us — do you think Kara's comments are no big deal or inappropriate?

It's not like she was keeping this huge secret for him. She's just saying what everyone else was thinking. It was pretty obvious from the start that he's gay. Big friggin' deal.
1People always have to be put in their little boxes. If he said he was straight people wouldn't believe him anyway so why does this matter? The fact that some one's sexuality is a big enough deal to be the topic of discussion for this long is what's inappropriate. Nightly news is discussing this-
There is a cyclone that has put millions of people without food, power, and water.
North Korea tested another missile!
And all people wanna talk about is ADAM LAMBERT! It's embarrassing journalism.
2if he is gay, then its his choice to come forward and say so. its not kara's place at all.
3It's Never ok for someone to talk about someone else's sexuality unless they've ok'd it. It's a very personal decision and shouldn't be forced. She just wants the attention.
4Oh my gosh - I am SOO darn sick of reading about this topic in every magazine and newspaper I pick up.
Who the heck cares what Adam's sexual preference is. That was not the point of American Idol. He is a singer and a performer and that is all people should be concerned about. It is no one's business whether he is gay or not. Really, I wish people would stop writing about this. It has nothing to do whatsoever with the way Adam sings or American Idol.
Sheesh!!!
5Oh god, get over it oversensitive Lambert fans. He's not even that talented, anyway. She can say what she wants. He's in the public eye.
6it is not really that big of a deal. adam has become a celebrity, so of course people/media are going to talk about his sexuality. even before kara said anything, everyone knew he was gay because of the attention he was getting from the media, which got people talking..
i can't believe there is anyone who didn't think adam was gay before this whole kara thing happened. impossible.
7How did she "out" him? Can you really "out" someone who is that OBVIOUSLY gay? He's been photographed kissing men and even his dad made a joking comment one night on idol about his lack interest in masculine activities. sheesh people.
8gay or straight, he's not good.
9i never paid that much attention to AI this season so i guess i don't really care but if people were speculating about it then whatever right?
10No biggie. Kara was just saying what she thinks, and it's not like Adam's sexuality was/is a secret
11Anyone can tell that he is gay but that's not the point its not karas place to say so! I agree with renees3 Kara is just wanting the attention. Who cares if he is gay or not he is very talented and will go far!
12Totally inappropriate. It is his decision and his alone to come out when and if he chooses. So what if it was obvious, she should keep her mouth shut.
13I think it is really tacky that Kara thought it was appropriate to discuss something so personal. It is really nobody's business but Adam's to talk about. I also think people shouldn't even be making such a big deal about his sexuality -- he's fabulous no matter what, so who cares.
14The media is hilarious to me. They really want that 'confession' from him even though they have pictures of him kissing other men they won't leave him alone. Everyone who has paid attention knows that he is gay or at least bisexual, but I do understand that it may not be the best thing for Kara to discuss as if it were her secret to tell.
15Who with eyes doesn't think he is gay?
16no big deal. he was outed by all those pix of him kissing his boyfriend .
17Not a big deal at all.
18I don't know why the media is so fixated on Adam's sexuality. Who cares?
19he's sooo gay, you have to assume he knows that we know soooooo what's the big effing deal...maybe gay men should take classes on how to fool people b/c I've seen so many pathetic attempts, it's hilarious imo
20I don't see why his sexuality is such a big deal. Why is America so obsessed with knowing? It's silly.
21It's his business, not hers. That's all I'm gonna say.
22I don't know but I do know Kara is irritating and needs to be canned from the show. She had no business being another judge in the first place. I'd like to know what incriminating information she has on the producers because that is the only reason I see them letting her hijack the show like she has. They also used her corny song for the winner of AI. Blech.
23I have no idea who she is, but she looks frightening in that picture.
24i think it's inappropriate as it's not people's problems.
adam's a singer, he sings. who he does in his own private time is not our problem.
25Who the hell are Kara and Adam? Gee, and so what if he is gay...who give a flying rat's ass?
26I agree with Violet07.
27Okay, this has gone on long enough. American Idol is a SINGING COMPETITION. So why does Adam Lambert's sexuality matter? It is his business and no one else's. And, where exactly does Kara get off talking about something that isn't her business? Now, I'm not saying that I would know either way, but wouldn't it be funny if she was dead wrong and he sued her for slander? I would laugh. I honestly think that this goes to show how pathetic some of the people in the world are; his sexuality should not matter and should not have been a topic of discussion for this long. I like Adam, and personally I feel bad for him. I don't see why people can't just leave him alone.
28People can have an opinion on what they want. She's not "outing" him...she's saying she doesn't think he was ever "in"....which is her opinion...and most of America's probably. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
29middiegirl95 - Adam is dragging it out with the media and milking it for all its worth (both press-wise and money-wise probably)...if it's no big deal he should just say "yeah, I'm gay" or "I'm not going to comment on that because it's no one's business and American Idol is a singing competition" ...those to me are respectable answers.
