Nicole Kidman doesn't turn 40 until Wednesday, but her birthday celebrations have already begun. This weekend, Nic blew out candles with her mother, sister, and 30 of her closest girlfriends at Icebergs Restaurant in Bondi. Nicole isn't daunted by this milestone birthday, saying, "I don't feel what I thought that wretched age was going to be like. I have done a lot of things and it has been full up to this point, especially the past few years, so I am grateful for that." Nicole will supposedly celebrate her real birthday back on the set of Australia, where Keith may be making a surprise visit.

16I seriously love Nicole. She's one of the best actresses around. It's good that she left Tom way before we finally realized that he is indeed a total wacko. Apparently, Nicole said that she received the divorce papers without knowing that he had filed for divorce and that she was still in love with him. It's probably because she wasn't into Scientology and wasn't obedient in following the religion or something like that.
17She needs to start wearing her hair less severe. The tightly pulled back styles don't work on anyone over 25, for starters. And the blond just makes her look washed out. She looked so good with her reddish hair. I have no idea why she insists on sticking with the blond.

25Fillyinfl, WHAT? Nobody wears black tights anymore? If that's true then the rest of the world didn't get the memo. Black tights are an absolute winter staple anyway, but they have been especially popular lately, even showing up on the red carpets with cocktail dresses. Don't forget it's the middle of winter in Australia, she's hardly gonna go bare legged! Anyway, happy birthday Nicole, she's one of the classiest actresses out there. I never liked her before I saw her in Moulin Rouge and she just blew me away, I've been a big fan since. I hope she enjoys her not-really-such-a-great-surprise-anymore visit from Keith!

I like Nicole Kidman. She seems very sweet, but with an inner strength and toughness. That said, Nicole, pleeease never wear those pantyhose again. They are not making you look good.

37She does not look 40! 30 maybe, but nowhere near 40. Even if she's been Botoxed, I do agree with grl in the world that it helps that Nicole protects her skin from sun damage.
