Heidi and Spencer Pratt's time in the Costa Rican jungle got even more dramatic this weekend. Heidi ended up in the hospital with a gastric ulcer after the duo were forced to spend time in the "Lost Chamber" as punishment for trying to leave the show again. Initial stories said that they were in the dark with no food or water for three days and at yesterday's Elizabeth Glaser charity carnival, Stephanie Pratt got emotional talking about NBC's behavior and wanting them to come back home. She said,
"It’s so inhumane and horrible what NBC did to them as a punishment. It’s not part of the TV show so when people are like "Well they signed up for that," no, they didn’t know they were going to be punished in a black room for almost 72 hours with spiders, no food and water and with Heidi having to end up in the ER with an IV in her arm. They’re being treated like they’re criminals for publicity stunt. I talked to Spencer last night. He was on the phone with my mom until like 7 am giving her updates. I think they’re moving her to another hospital right now. She’s not in good shape. She told her mom Darlene that she thought she was dying and like she was saying her goodbyes."
Meanwhile, an "on-set source" says Heidi and Spencer only spent 14 hours in the chamber and were not harmed while there. Plus, the source says they were in good spirits when they left the isolation. Apparently footage will be aired tonight, but after hearing both sides, do you believe the Pratts story that they were tortured?

I don't watch this show. Something about this reeks of an ongoing publicity stunt. Considering the people involved I would not be surprised.
1This is the first time I hear a story like this and I don't feel bad at all for the people involved. Even if they were "tortured" for three days.
2i think that it's highly unlikely that the network would have kept them WITHOUT food and water for those days. that's a liability on their end. everything with these 2 is over dramatic that's for sure. i hope that this means that they won't be back this week!
3Oh please, I was reading about this yesterday and all I could think of is the Boy Who Cried Wolf. Heidi and Spencer just want out of their contracts because they can't handle the jungle and they are going about it by accusing NBC of "torture".
4I don't watch this show either, but it is really hard to believe their claims. When you create an image for yourself as publicity-stunt media wh*res, it's hard to get people to take you seriously.

26I wish I had enough money to put up a billboard near where they live with the picture of Heidi crying on it. That is one image that is going to haunt them forever. Heck... If I lived anywhere near them I would cut that picture out and make a mask of it, then if I ever ran into them I would put it on and cry and whine at them. Then, when Spencer went off and attacked me (which I am positive he could not control) boom... lawsuit. I would them take them for everything they have... hehehe

This is completely ridiculous, these morons make my blood boil! Am I not correct in thinking that an ulcer takes several days, if not weeks, to occur? I had abdominal pains for about six weeks and went to the doctor and was told I was *getting* an ulcer. And Heidi gets one overnight? Yeah...

31NBC should be pissed off because without Heidi & Spencer the show isn't worth watching. I think they did pretty good considering they are who they are. It will all blow over. They are just young, rich, & in Love.
