Shia LaBeouf has been touring Asia to promote Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and he's also on the cover of this week's Parade to chat about the film. He wasn't just talking about the movie, though, as he also touched on his colorful personal life. On how he developed his unique sense of humor, he says it came from, "seeing my parents have sex, smoke weed, my mom being naked — just weird hippie stuff, twisted R-rated humor." This is just the latest interview in which he was shockingly frank, so tell us — are his comments interesting or icky?

Why not say whatever the f*ck is on your mind? It's more interesting than all the other boring ass sh*t celebs spout. Plus, is what he said really that crazy? So he's walked in on his parents going at it? Anyone with hippie parents, and there are a lot of them out there, have seen their parents smoke pot and seen their parents naked. Anyone who is scandalized by this is, well, humorously unaware/close-minded/boring. Sorry internets, but really, read the paper (not just datebook) this is funny. And if it's not to you (and you're neither unaware/close-minded nor boring) then what are you doing reading stuff that doesnt' interest you?

18I do find it strange information to be shared with Parade magazine. Wasn't the last interview with Playboy? That seemed less inappropriate-- but this magazine comes in my newspaper between the comic pages, and this is an actor loved by young kids for 'holes' and 'transformers,' so I think a type of censorship in this article would be more appropriate than in one that was printed in an adult magazine.
19why is it weird for him to answer the question that way? he probably walked in on his mom and dad by accident, and lots of parents go naked in front of their children (especially when the kids are young). as for smoking weed it's legal w/ an Rx in CA.

28At first I thought "TMI" however once I read the entire article, it became interesting and was Shia describing a part of his life and why he's this way. He did not have a normal childhood and he shouldn't have to censor that fact. Yes it may sound like a weird quote on its own however in the article, it works.
29Well...at least he's honest? I don't think he's quite on the same level of obnoxious as Megan Fox is, though...she's just dumb as a rock and doesn't know when to shut her mouth, (i.e. "I smoke pot"...don't admit that in public!!). He was just trying to get a point across.

35This isn't new. He has answered any question given to him over the years with point black honesty and usually an unhealthy heaping of foul language. His Dad had a heroin addiction, he started smoking at like 12 going to AA meetings with him, he got a job to support them and himself cause they were failed artists who didn't fit in, he paid his father to be his guardian so he could do Even Stevens, he lived in a motel with his Dad during Even Stevens and watched a pimp beat up the prostitutes that worked out of the room next door.. on and on and on.
Thing is.. he knows what shaped him, and he knows his demons, work is a form of therapy, father figures like Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg help, and he has been going to AA for 10 years. He is figuring it all out.
And he doesn't consider himself a role model to teenage fans.. esp with his admitted problems and upbringing.. and he is transitioning from PG-13 movies back to R.. so if he loses them by continuing to be ridiculously frank about his life..I don't think he will weep.

I think Megan and Shi might become characters that people love to hate and the blogs sure know how to pick the lines to make them sound the most provocative - I didn't use to like Megan but after reading whole interviews, I think on the whole, she's witty and realistic. Shia on the other hand, I have much love for....
39On a complete sidenote, he kinda looks like my uncle in the cover picture-which is weird b/c obviously they look nothing alike. But anyway; I find it refreshing that he's honest! Why should he be PC with every question and try to cover up his life? If you don't like it, don't read it. And where was his birthday post today? He's awesome; he deserves one!

42Why is it that whenever famous people talk about their personal lives, people always have to make something a BIG deal? If he decided to share his story with the whole world, so what!!! that's his right as a human being apart from being an actor to do so. I hate that people are soooo shallow and judge someone especially an actor/actress or a celbrity just because of what he/she said. We are ALL human beings they are no more/no less human than us. All this talk about "well their famous their supposed to act a certain way blah blah blah" that's all bs!!! Then people wonder why some of them SNAP!!! BACK OFF!!!! I think it takes courage to come out into the open and tell your story to the whole world. At least he's not hiding behind a curtain pretending to have this perfect little life. Everyone should start worrying about themselves at not worry about other peoples lives. I LOVE Shia and I think he's down to earth and sincere about his feelings. YOU ROCK SHIA!!!!
