I thought when Katie Holmes married Tom Cruise her career was supposed to get a huge boost?

If she wants to show her dance moves, put her on Dancing With the Stars - that's where all the F list stars go to shine....SYTYCD is for legit dancers and having her on would bring it to a joke level.

I think it's embarrassing because she wants so badly for everyone to think she is some triple threat that can sing and dance. She sang and danced on Dawson's Creek--badly. And that Eli Stone episode made me kind of cringe. She auditioned for something like "Nine" but didn't get the role (a movie that stars both Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz). It seems the best Katie--Mrs. Cruise No.3--can hope for is reality TV programming.

i think that i'd like to see it. i don't know what type of dance she would do but it would be interesting to see if she's got skills. i think that it's really great and ambitious of her.

The only way it's going to work for her is if she brings Suri along. I can't believe that this is what's she's been hitting the dance studios for. I thought she had some big movie role to prepare for.

I think she considers herself one. Those in Katie's camp (even friends and family) often claimed that her singing/dancing talents were right up there with her acting. And perhaps they are--considering where one might place that on a sliding scale.

Seeing as how Eli Stone was cancelled not long after her appearance, SYTYCD better watch out!

This is really just strange. Marrying Tom Cruise should have given her more prestige than this. It seems like marrying him has only given her enough financial security to not even care about her career any longer, and choose lame projects like this.

I'm annoyed with SYTYCD for inviting Katie Holmes to perform on the show. I realize she is performing in order to promote the Dizzy Feet Foundation. But still... I'd rather not see HER dizzy feet. Is she personally an inspiration to dancers? Why doesn't she perform live like the other performers on SYTYCD? Will her thetans object?

Maybe if Katie actually had a career singing or dancing or just inspiring people to dance - her appearance would make more sense. She gets to do this because of who she is and not her talent. Typical story for an actor, singer, or model that believes she can and should do everything.

She must need to dance on the show in order to align her thetans.
