I didn't realize that the documentation of Joan Jett's life was in such high demand.......anyway not a good look.. She should stay away from super straight legged pants, they make her look a little knobby kneed. It's a very 80's look ..... again, didn't know about the appeal.

I'm so excited to see this film. Kristen's going to be amazing. I was skeptical when they cast her cause she looked like sweet Bella at the time but these pictures are very reassuring. I love Joan Jett and The Runaways. This movie is going to be great I think.

I really don't get this girl's appeal...I saw Twilight and thought her acting was mediocre at best. Her looks are alright but nothing that would turn heads on the street if she wasn't a celebrity. She doesn't have any style and is too old to be going out looking as scruffy as she does. She needs to bring it up a notch a bit. I mean look at little Dakota Fanning - she's looking age appropriate yet rocking the Balenciaga bags and gladiator heels. Kristen + Converse + dresses to awards shows...honey, you are NOT Kurt Cobain's child, nor are you Avril Lavigne...and it's 2009...not 1994...

I'm not surprise most of the comments are pretty shallow & superficial. Honestly, having a beautiful bone structure such as hers- she can get away with any type of haircut. It would be interesting to see how she would bring out Joan Jett's personality & character into the movie.

Blady Hell people!!!! She is human just like you and me, the difference is that she now has "celeb status". As we know Kristen is not a "follower" she won't do the "latest trends" and get the "latest friends" she is who she is ....KRISTEN STEWART! She has always been to the point and doesn't care what we think, so no matter how many times you say you hate her or don't like what she is doing.......SHE DOES NOT CARE!! All of the Twilight Cast have been under sooo much pressure to "make things right" and long hours to get these movies out to all us fans, and then once done they are all whisked away to individual movies to keep working. They must all be so exhausted and pushed to the limits. No wonder she looks the way she does, put yourself in her shoes with "overnight" success but to the extreme!! A lot of the comments I am reading are so goofy. I mean she is in the middle of acting in a movie about Joan Jett. I'm sure she has been "made up" to look like Joan Jett and maybe, just maybe they made her eyes look puffy. Remember in Twilight when they put makeup under her eyes to make them look like dark circles; then they made her eyes up really pretty when she hooked up with Edward. She may be filming a scene where Joan Jett is tired and is touring and hasn't gotten much sleep or has been partying, and is supposed to look tired and run down... Jesh! she's trying to immerse herself into the role and become Joan Jett and Joan was a hard rocker chick so I'm sure Kristen needs to look "hard". And I'm still wondering if even cut her hair for the role or not... I just saw a picture of her and Dakota Fanning coming from the recording studio and there was one pic where her hair was her usual chestnut brown color and it was all pulled up and back. I bet she's wearing a wig for this, especially since she has to begin filming for the 3rd installment of the Twilight series movies in a few months or so and I'm sure the Twilight execs didn't want her to have it cut. I'll try to find a link to the pic of her hair looking natural.

Anonymous78, I agree they've worked long hours and are under stress but doing drugs, smoking, and staying up late aren't exactly going to help. She's young, and needs to take of herself because when she ages all that crap is gonna catch up to her. I agree with you roboholic.
