Dakota Fanning held her script close to her chest yesterday after spending time working on The Runaways with Kristen Stewart in LA. The girls stuck together and left the day of work together, stopping for gas on their way home. While Kristen's had to chop her hair off and dye it black to play Joan Jett, it looks like Dakota's made it so far without having to do anything major to her own look. Her character Cherie Currie was a blonde during the band's heyday, so Dakota should be able to hang on to her own locks.

1I wonder who the actresses are who are playing the rest of the band in this movie? These pics are suspect...I think these two are being pawned out on purpose to generate buzz around this movie. I don't think too many people would care otherwise.

9missyd, which girl are you referring to? If you're talking about Dakota, she is only 15. She doesn't look now how she will look in a few years. I looked nothing at 15 like I do now. And at 14 I was awful! I think she's adorable. Maybe not sexy, but I don't think she should be at 15 anyway. Maybe she will be when she's 20.

11I'm sorry, I'm still trying to figure out what Kristen Stewart's appeal is outside of the Twilight world. She looks like trailer trash. I am happy that she seems to beat to her own drum and doesn't feel the need to be girlie like most in Hollywood, but come on people. If she didn't play Bella then no one would like her and everyone would be calling her ugly and dirty. I'm sorry, but when I see her in these pictures I just think she looks smelly and greasy and like she should live in a trailer.

I just feel totally bad for Kristen (and celebs in general) that she can't just freakin' pump her gas without all the paps snap, snap, snapping. But I guess by being a member of this site I only feed it, don't I? I've given up buying magazines so as not to support the paps - it's just so horrible how they torture these people.
17Dakota has a mean collection of sky-high heels, that's for sure. Her feet are going to be effed by the time she turns 18.
18She does seem to handle herself well with all the attention from the paps, you'd think another 15 year old might be a bit intimidated by it all.
Poor Kristen, she seems to cop a massive amount of hate. The hair isn't the most flattering cut and colour but she is the spitting image of Joan Jett, which is the whole point.

24Agreed, Vivivonpurr on yout post. Dakota seems an odd choice, BUT the look similarities are there. Still, it's gonna be odd seeing her in some of the getups Cherrie wore, very stripper like. Almost Pussy Cat Doll like but with more of a punk edge. I still find Dakota unattractive though.

Yeah who is going to play Lita Ford, she is a hard rocker fo sho! This will be a real stretch for Dakota to be playing Cherie Currie, maybe she is wearing all of those tall high heel shoes to pre pare for the role! Cherie did wear some major heels at her live shows!
