Gisele Bundchen smiled big at a Pantene promotional event in São Paulo, Brazil on Monday. She remains the top-earning supermodel in the world, but a recent lag in magazine sales has some wondering if she's lost her touch. Considering how in demand she still is, it's going to take a lot more than one disappointing Vanity Fair cover to take away her crown.

15"Magazine Circulation Falls in Half" WWD Media August 08. I've been reading stories like that since 08. All of them are either flat or falling. They blame internet, poor economy, too many mags doing the same things (so true. you've seen one you've seen them all). Magazines hasn't put models on covers for over a decade. Yes you get the token model cover ONCE a year, but to blame sales decline on a model is so HYPOCRITICAL. Is June the last month of the year now? I wonder why Gisele is singled out? They've already driven all the models off the covers, this might be the attempt to stamp out the "token yearly model cover". Something smells fishy.
Don't even get me started on those exploitative jerks at Vanity Fair.
16There was an article about how all magazines sales were low during March/April months. It just so happens that Gisele was on those covers during those months. I don't know why the media is so determined to present her in a negative light, but I think she's great!

ugh Pantene and all the chemicals in it made me allergic! I guess you can develop an allergy even into adulthood. My derm says it's the worst possible shampoo you could even use on your hair... sigh it smells good though

19I'm not wowed by her. The nose throws everything off! She's obviously a very beautiful woman, but there are MUCH better supermodels out there. If I didn't have a subscription to Vanity Fair, I wouldn't have bought her edition. She's a model. Her job is to make clothes look good. I don't want to read an 8 page article about her. She's not that interesting.
20VF sales were low because of Gisele? I believe it. I have that issue at home and as much as she's pretty, she's boring. God, she is boring. Readers of VF I'd imagine are looking for substance in the magazine. Pretty face won't cut it for long.

VF sales are not low because of Gisele, all magazines sales are low these days. She is the highest earning model this year again.Remember? As for boring, i find her to be really sweet, smart and funny in interviews.

23Her magazines sales are probably low because she doesn't have a messed up life. Think about it, the only stories people like to read are about people who's lives are falling apart and/or really sad. When someone like Gisele has got everything together and is living a happy life its considered boring and no one wants to read about it- how sad.
24I actually really like her interviews- she's very down to earth, and the pics usually aren't bad either.
i dont think that gisele is as beautiful as people make her out to be. i think her body is out of this world though
