Is it just me, or is there something distinctly Britney & Kevin about Sean Preston tooling around in a mini Escalade well before his second birthday. At least his mom is following close behind in her own recreational vehicle, keeping an eye on her eldest son playing...in his car...in the driveway of their Beverly Hills home...no helmet in sight. SP probably just wanted to take a little joyride out to Malibu -- it is his preferred home, after all. I'm just surprised that there wasn't a baby seat strapped into the car for little Jayden James. Kidding, kidding...

Car seat.. no way! They would just plop Jayden on SP's lap. It's country y'all.
1too cute hehe just like kfed
2Too Cute!
3britney acts irresponsible!! he's far too young for such a car!
4she is the worse mum ever.
5sean is so cute. but i hate kfed. grr.. :]
6I wish she was my mum. I always wanted one of those.
Helmet-schmelmet. He'll be right.
/end sarcasm
7where is your DL, kid?.. ha ha
8cute. but. um... nevermind. :|
9Does he really need a helmet? All the kids I knew growing up with those little cars never wore one.
10Well at least she's spending some time with the kids, right?
11Ok yall are doin the most because I look outside and see kids on those all the time without helmets and its funny how we put fire and brimstone on her for every damn thing but yet we don't do it on the neighbors lol
12Sorry that was a lil harsh I got nothin but love for you all lol
13I must be the wors mum ever too, b/c my son has a toy jeep that he doesn't wear a helmet with, they go about 2 miles an hour & he rides it around in the backyard...I think they're just ready to bag on her for anything
14My brother had one of those things when we were a kid and we never used helmets. I've never seen anyone wear a helmet when riding around in one of those little cars.
15WOW...here I was thinking that I child needed to be at least 3 and able to have some form of motion control before they could drive a powerwheel...But hey we country, y'all. I don't think the helmet is the issue, I'm thinking it's the age of the child (probably around 20mos). yeah, she's a GREAT parent :eyeroll:
16My nephew had one of those and no he never wore a helmet. They go about as fast as you can walk. For all this talk of helmets and too old for him, he could just be sitting in it playing with the buttons. There is no reason to try to find something wrong with everything she does.
Those pictures are from last month I think. I remember her wearing that skull scarf to a dance studio and the pink shorts.
17The picture of Sean makes me sad for some reason. I don't know. *ponders*
18Every picture of Britney Spears with her children makes me sad...and that's only because there's usually a second picture of her out on the town or somewhere doing something ridiculous.
19I've never seen a kid wearing a helmet with one of those. I guess that means that everywhere I have lived is country too. Hmm.
20If he can reach the pedals and controls, I don't see why he shouldn't be riding it. Toys like that always say a suggested age, but it's more about your height. My kids would love one.
Those things are so slow! He's fine. LOL that it's an Escalade, though.
21He doesnt need a helmet those things dont even go 1 mph an hes not t o young with each kid there different theres never a right age for anything.
22Oh man. So jealous. I wanted one of those so bad when I was little. But instead we had 1 hot wheels to share between the three of us. No fair!
23I had a Barbie jeep as a kid, and i nevber wore a helmet! Aww Tator tot is growing up, how adorable! He's gonna be a pimp just like his daddy!
24wtf ?! stop dissing her !! he`s just fine ..do you know how slow those things go ??
25Sean loos so cute btw !!
Such a ghetto family. Not that there's anything wrong with that!!!
26My son doesn't wear a helmut when he's on his especially in teh driveway...Give her a break...He's a kid ahving fun.
27Anyone complaining that he's not wearing a helmet might as well complain if they see him doing anything without a helmet including crawling and walking cause those activities go at about the same speed as a powerwheel.
28I had a little jeep and never wore a helmet. I don't think that Brit deserves any kind of mommy of the year award, but seriously if i was scrutinized as much as she is, pictures every second, I would probably make a ton of mistakes too. Parents usually make a lot of mistakes with the first kid-- older kids get all the crap.
29The Fisher Price Escalade goes 5 mph and is for ages 3-8.
Poor kid never seems to get a play date with other kids. He looks pretty lonely here.
30Wow, just when I thought Britney couldn't get any trashier, she goes and buys her kid a mini Escalade. She's a champ.
31sweet ride SP
32As any new mother knows, the first child is practice. That's where you make all of your mistakes. The only reason everyone is making a big deal about everything that she does is because it's splattered on every gossip page and website. Most of the things that we've seen her do badly are things that has happened to every mother (except that whole driving with the kid on you lap thing). I sure as hell almost dropped my son before and it's not like it was on purpose. Give her a break!! At least she stopped flashing us her crotch...I think
.
33WAIT! Maybe, the car isn't even moving. Maybe he's just sitting there doing nothing and having fun steering the wheels. Perhaps later, when the photographers weren't there, Britney was driving that car with him! You guys easily come to a conclusion. If there's a video, then we can express our judgments.
34AngiD - I love your photo - it actually looks like one of my Mom's - she is a photographer
I don't think I have ever seen any child wear a helmet on one of these. They are really not that hazardous.
35I doubt he was "driving" it, as he doesn't even have the cognition for that...although he did have that one "practice session". But he is able to push buttons and move his feet. Again, my issue isn't with the helmet, because who wears helmets on Power Wheels, my issue is with the age. This is NOT an age appropriate gift for a child. And I don't think height is the issue at hand, I'm going with safety.
36Oh geez!
37Okay, maybe he doesn't need a helmet. It just seems like when a 1-year-old is behind the wheel he should have one. Clearly, I'm a long way from having kids.
38If you go to Fisher Price's Power Wheels site it shows the Escalade model and says it is for children ages 2-6 http://www.fisher-price.com/us/powerwheels/
They also make models for 1-2 years old, so I think its age appropriateness is fine, especially since I'm sure they set those limits higher than they need to be to avoid as much liability as possible in the event of an accident.
By the way what is happening here? I think I've woken up this morning feeling a bit cantankerous, hell has frozen over, and I've started defending Britney Spears. Britney is a stupid ho and an all around terrible person, there that's better the world is right again.
39Does Fisher Price make spinner rims for that ride? Looking online, others also report that he was driving it and that is why she is following him in the go cart. Hopefully he doesn't have an accident, because it would take a bit of time to get out of a moving go cart and get to him.
She evidently got that for him last summer, before he was one. (photos online)
40I went to Fisher-Price and looked it up, for both Cadillac models and they say "Ages 3 & Up"!!! That was actually the very first thing that I did before I made my initial comment. And in terms of child development, 3 and 1 are NOT nearly close.
41You're right. The Power Wheels main page is very misleading though, it says "for kids ages 2-6 check out the Cadillac Escalade", but that just links to a page with a list of all their models and when you click on the Escalade it does have 3 as the lower limit. I still say though that they take into account that there are some super uncoordinated and clumsy kids out there so they play it safe by putting the age limit higher than it needs to be. Individual parents can probably make up their minds about if it's safe or not and Britney is an exceptional parent so I'm sure her decision is the right one. Also, to take it a step further and really give her the benefit of the doubt without any basis for it, and in fact all evidence and logic to the contrary, I'm just gonna go ahead and assume she was fooled by the website in the same way that I was and would be horrified to learn that the Power Wheels is for 3 and up.
42Jeez, all I got when I was a kid was a Big Wheels! I always wanted one of the power wheels, and this kid gets a friggin mini-escalade!
Brit... you may be a total nut job, but you make some damn cute babies!
43She's only getting flack for this cause she's Britney Spears! I mean seriously who wore a helmet on one of those things? I walk faster than it drives! LOL!
44I had a big airplane when I was about his age and I was good! I guess my parents were those kind of parents that believed if I got hurt that as long as it wasn't broken I'd be fine!
SP definitely has a sweet ride
No, a helmet is not necessary for that thing.
Do you guys have any idea the dangerous things our parents and grandparents did without helmets? Without wristguards. Without knee and elbow pads. We're a bunch of wusses nowadays. Seriously.
45tia how do know his development level? just bc hes britneys kid means he is dumb? fact is lots of kids can be 1 an on a 2 to 2 1/2 year old level. its an age guide line that doesnt mean sh!t. they also say playdoh's like 4 an up but if your kid doesnt eat then thay can play with it as long as your watching your kid. id like to see how your ideas on this change when you have children.

46no caps today im one handed
I know what ya'll mean about being kinda sad whe you see pics of Tater Tot. You never see pics of her taking her kids to the park (& you know there would be pics if she did, the way she is followed around) & you never see him playing w/ other kids. I'm sure he plays w/ his half-siblings but still. The pic by himself gives me the impression that Brit just buys him toys & he plays by himself.I bet his school life will be pretty bad. I can't even imagine what other kids will say to him.
47No worries Molly, I kinda thought he might need a helmet too. Tiny people driving cars seems kinda strange to me!
Tox- remember when someone said that he looked like he had autism?! its crazy the way people speculate about a child's development
48My issues has nothing to do with him being Britney Spears' son...that was your own conclusion. There is a BIG developmental difference between the ages of 3 and 1. Granted some age levels are unnecessarily elevated, however when it comes to something that is both motorized and has wheels and the child needs to have the ability to know how to stop it, I don't find that a 1 year old is able to process that. Oh and one more thing, I can tell you now that if/when I actually become a mother, that I will not be going out and purchasing an Escalade Power Wheel for my 1.5 year old baby...sorry.
49Yea I do. And its kinda of crazy just because he has the same face at the cameras. Im pretty sure if I had 50+ cameras flashing and following my children and I around they would not be all smiles. And honestly NOR WOULD I be taking them to a public park. And at this point I doubt any mother want there kids to have Play Dates with Brits kids bc of all the attention she recieves.
