Angelina Jolie touched down in Washington DC today accompanied by her two older sons Pax and Maddox. The actress is in town ahead of World Refugee Day, though her meeting with Hillary Clinton was canceled after the secretary of state fell and broke her elbow, needing surgery.
Angelina is still appearing on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight to discuss her work with the UNHCR and World Refugee Day — the Jolie-Pitts' recent donation of $1 million is only the latest gesture from the couple toward the cause that means so much to them.

Angie looks amazing even through glass.
I am so excited to her speak tonight with Anderson abut Refugee Day this Saturday.
1poor hilary - but as for angie - it's nice that she uses her fame for good causes.
2UGH....they are so self-important. they take themselves too seriously. Brad has no personality..he always models himself by the woman he is with.
3why the need to tell the world how much you donated? i don't see Bill Gates doing it. They must feel like god's gift to us.
And meeting Hillary Clinton?? LOL....give me a fuc*ing break. two high school drop-outs "discussing" world political problems with a very intelligent woman. Brangelina really think they are important. they make me SICK...
britney speeck angelina already meet hilary back in 2005, aw well as colin powell and condi rice... and they are far from high school drop out... troll
4Angelina Jolie was graduated from highschool at 16, Brad had two month left before graduated from college when he decided to go to Hollywood.
No need for a meltdown troll, we know your pain. We know it's difficult for you to grasp the importance of World refuge day. Too bad you lack basic education and master in low IQ grades.
5zzzzzzz
6what a beautiful smile.
7My god, talk about pompous, self-importnat a%%%oles. Of course they give out money to charity, that's how they avoid paying haigher taxes. Never miss a chance to tell us how much they give.
8I can't wait to watch her tonight.
9Holly is back!! I guess since she had a child herself she works mostly from home and only comes out to help with things in the states when she is really needed. Must be an interesting job.
10I love you, Angie.
11What's that ? Oh yeah, it's the noise made by angry trolls whose head is exploding...lol !!!
12All hail Saint Slutalina. She is gonna make the refugee problem go away.
13All the while Megaslutiffer, the one who like them young and pee-er is still on the prowl to make her problem of dumpee go away asking for help for everlasting love.
14I'm excited to see her interview with Anderson Cooper this evening!
15Grrr, it winds me up so much that Angelina regularly gets audience with the world's leading politicians! she's nothing more than an actress who gets paid far too much money and uses it to buy good press coverage and admiration from the public.
16Am disappointed with Hillary - you'd think she has more important people to meet than a couple of actors.
And yes, why do they have to advertise everytime they donate money? plenty of other people do it all the time without issuing a press release to the world. I can't believe people don't see them for what they are!
I'm dissapointed in Hillary too. But since AJ buys media all the time, maybe she even bought time with H. Clinton. I wouldn't be suprised if she paid her to meet with her. How else can it be explained.
17I think there are far more important people that are
18taking care of the refugee problem than Angelina. I
don't think graduating at 16 from high school makes
her capable of being in the government, in fact I don't
think donating money for the pr makes anyone smart enough
to run the government no matter who it is. Rob Patterson
and Megan Fox could really call attention to our problems
right now because they are hot but does that make them
capable of doing it. I think not.
I am disappointed in Hillary too. Angelina herself says
19what she is doing isn't helping. Could it be because she
is actress with a high school education trying to work
her way into government? Brad's movie isn't getting the
best of reviews and especially not him. One even said it
is the worst acting job he has ever done. Maybe they
are looking for a new line of work. I really fine it hard
to take actors and actresses serious when it comes to
very important government issue. I don't feel that
government should be a stage to show off your skills. It's
demeaning.
Yikes, poor Hillary. That's got to hurt. As for Angie (who looks beautiful, btw) meeting a high-power politician... at least she's trying to make a difference. I am not a fan of Jolie, and find her scary at times - but lets give credit where credit is due. She is compassionate tries to make the world a better place. With all her money & fame, she can actually do some good, and perhaps bring attention of the White House to important human rights issues.
20Wow, she even took her two boys that she adopted from other
21countries. Work it Angie. Do you think that the White
House isn't aware of the important human rights issues?
I should certainly hope that the people in Washington
are smart enough to know what is going on without Angelina
having to tell them.
People instead of just either keeping quite or at least give credit to people that are just doing their best to help. They have the time to find all the negative things they can think of just to put someone down for doing good. I find that very shameful and hateful. But one thing is the you can keep critisizing or hating and God will keep blessing them so no matter what you say it will not take anything away from them. God bless the Jolie-Pitts and please don't get tired of doind what u are doing.
22Come on, she's trying to help. And regardless of what people in the White House know, her name brings media attention to the issues. It's better then what I can do.
23At least Angie is a living proof that some people can be beautiful inside and out. And also that life is not all about fame and fortune. And that there is more to life that just looking pretty and being the most beautiful or sexiest woman in the whole world. And that there is more joy in just giving and making a difference in somebody's life that has nothing to do with you.I am so sad that Hilary couldn't make it. And great Job Angie can't wait to see the interview with Anderson Cooper.
24Her name does make a difference to some of some for example if the headlines didn't write her name everywhere most of us would have just probably skipped through and not read about what going on this week. Especially me I didn't even know that it was Refugee day or week so because I saw Angelinas name I was so drawn into the whole story.Peace out people.
25Angie you are the BEST GIRL you keep going gal.
26Sorry, but it's sad that people need Angelina to find out about what's going on in the world. There are plenty of newspapers, magazines and websites than can give some very useful information. I love celeb gossip like the next person, but I don't turn to movie stars for political advice.
27Angelina is a beautiful and moderately talented actress, but that's what she is, an actress. By definition that makes her as self-obsessed, narcissistic with an inflatable sense of self-worth.
What does it matter where you get your information from as long as the message is the same?
28Unfortunately most people don't bother to read those newspapers, magazines, etc. to find out what it going on in the world. And most mainstream publications don't give much detailed coverage of international issues unless they are a huge front page story.
Why does she get the flack, when charitable causes have counted on celebrities to bring light to their causes for decades. The biggest swell in membership and donations in Amnesty International's history was during their Conspiracy of Hope concert series. Why do AID's groups need Elizabeth Taylor... shouldn't people just know about it and donate already?
Anyone who has done much first hand work in international human rights issues would not be picking apart someone for their HR work. Especially with such petty issues as brought up here, which makes it pretty obvious who knows anything about the issue and who is here just to be catty.
29So because she is an actress she shouldn't care about what's going on in this world? Who is shallow again? I'm so sick of people thinking that because you're rich and famous you shouldn't be able to have opinions or to care to inform yourself about important issues! Her job is to be an actress but after cameras are off she's just like you and me. I will never put her on pedestal but i'll certainly treat like everyone else which means that I respect her for being other things than a superficial airhead. Honestly would you like her if she was like Lohan or hilton or richie (no being pregnant is not a job lol!)? I wouldn't give anything to have the girl she used to be: unhappy, rebel, full of anger. The woman has found something that makes her feel real than going on vacations ever week or doing shopping all time. So what she'd rather be a member of a charitable organisation than being like what 90% of hollywood is: empty, superficial and uninteresting!
30Pop- why would you have a tag category titled "ugliest celebrity babies?" That's a little harsh
31at least they are giving money away unlike maniston who will only give it to how to improve plastic surgery!!!!!!!!
32many admire her as she gives a third of her wages to charity and has been a un ambassador since 2000
Kudos to Angelina for trying to make a difference and not 'donating' to the likes of Ken Paves and Chris McMillan all the time.
