Kate Hudson kicked off her weekend in Miami with a night out at the Fontainebleau hotel on Friday. She went a little more casual for a baseball game yesterday, when she brought Ryder along to see Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees play the Marlins. Alex's team lost the game by one run, and some of his fans are upset because he was out late with Kate the night before. He didn't seem too broken up about the controversy last night as he snuck out of the Casa Tua restaurant after dinner with Kate. You guys also don't think they make a great couple, but that doesn't seem to deter Kate as she continues traveling around the country to see him take the field.

I don't get the controversy about being up until 2 am. I guess some people don't understand baseball. It is very typical for games not to be over until 10 or even 11. Then there is the locker room and travel time to get to dinner. Then who goes to bed immediately after dinner?
In this case, a friend had previously planned a party for A-rod and some other Yankees and some Florida fans. The term "partying" is way overused and implies a night of drunken and wild behavior.
Secondly, the players can sleep in almost as long as they like..the next practice isn't until mid afternoon the following day--it's not like they have to be to the office by 8 am! Many, many times a team will be in route to their next location and not get in until 3 or 4 am.
I'm not defending A-rod here, just giving some facts to some folks who might not understand how baseball schedules work.

nickyv73 - I guess because when he and Kate got together, he and his wife were already separated. The news of his separation didn't break because there were photos of him and a topless Kate, the way it did with Sienna and Getty.
7it's too funny to me how fans will blame just about anything on a team losing. it's not like A-Rod is the ONLY player on the team ya know? oh well.
i wonder if they met up with drew/justin at all since we know that they were there too
