Shia LaBeouf looked like he was in good spirits at LAX on his way to NYC yesterday as his Transformers 2 hit theaters across the country. This morning he's already stopped by Regis and Kelly and The Today Show, where he brought a fan in from the audience to give her the thrill of a lifetime — it really is one of the sweetest interviews, so check it out below. Despite lukewarm reviews — Buzz isn't loving it either — the movie is expected to bring in a good amount at the box office. It even earned $16 million from the Tuesday midnight screenings alone. It may not be a critical success or prominent when award season rolls around, but once again Shia has delivered a big budget blockbuster for the Summer movie season.

18I don't get the allure of him. I saw him on the Today Show and blurted out, WTF is that ugly guy doing on there. He's not attractive at all. The other guy on Transformers, Josh, is hot. I guess it's the fugly, nerdy guy that is ruling the celebrity mags. Jon Gosselin (somewhat celebrity) is on a lot of things, too. Send them both away and bring us back the tall, handsome MEN and not these ugly boys.
