Friends and Loved Ones React to Michael Jackson's Death
Beyonce Knowles
"This is such a tragic loss and a terrible day. The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music. He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. He will always be the king of pop. For anyone who has ever seen, felt, or heard his art, we are all honored to have been alive in this generation to experience the magic of Michael Jackson. I love you Michael." — Beyonce told

This may upset some people, but I just want to say this...I love MJ's music and, being a product of the 80s and even loving the stuff he made with the Jackson 5, I can't agree with these over-zealous, grandiose declarations like he was the end all be all of music. Sorry Beyonce. Michael was a truly talented artist, but there have been many just as talented and others who have made even larger impacts on pop culture. It's her opinion, but let's not overlook history...I'm still waiting for Chuck Berry to get his dues and people to stop making Elvis out to be the one who somehow invented rock n roll.
1I agree Elvis did NOT create rocknroll..
Michael impacted every genre.. and the amazing thing is his influence is not obviously in your face.. but its in all music. He is the King of Pop and he will be forever.
If one more person compares him to Madonna I will loose my mind. Unlike Michael Madonna can't sing. Shes an entertainer, not an artist. She has an awful voice.. thank god for her stage presence.
