BET Awards where they paid tribute to Michael Jackson. Joe was on the red carpet talking about how much Michael would have
appreciated the outpouring of love and support and once the show started Janet took the stage on behalf of the Jackson family. She said, "My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful so they elected me to speak with all of you.

My husband is a big fan of Michael Jackson so he made us watch the BET awards. I think Michael would have been embarrassed by some of the things that were said and done at the awards. It was the worst awards show I have ever seen. Most of the performances were terrible, and Jamie Foxx was more insulting than anything else, promoting his own agenda under the veil of a "tribute" to the late MJ. Quite frankly, I was insulted by this so-called "tribute." Poor Janet Jackson wasted her time, leaving her grieving family to briefly attend this abomination. Her and the words of few others seemed to be the only genuine moments of the show.
1I 100% agree with you! Jamie Foxx was obnoxious and the whole show was a disappointment. No class at all! Janet Jackson was the only sincere moment. I couldn't stand to watch Jamie Foxx singing a Michael Jackson song. It was a joke!
