Justin Timberlake was in the stands at Wimbledon on Saturday as he continues enjoying his time overseas. He's mingling with many famous Brits, from Elton John's pals last week to some male bonding with new friend Prince Harry at a recent music festival. JT doesn't appear to be looking to return stateside anytime soon, as he's said to be considering staging tribute shows to honor Michael Jackson in London on some of the dates Michael was scheduled to perform. Justin was obviously influenced by Michael, but those are some big shoes to fill. So, tell us — would you be interested in seeing JT's tribute shows?

To be honest I'd rather see Justin perform Michael Jackson's old material than see Michael Jackson perform it. He died a shadow of his former self, I don't see how his planned tour could ever have lived up to people's expectations.
However, what a body of work he left behind. People will enjoy those songs forever.
1Nope, I wouldn't be interested.
2The one I got out of that story was JT and Prince Harry = friends?! My #1 and #2... love, love, love.
JT would be great at performing and honoring Michael.
3Not interested either. I know Michael Jackson was huge but it's a long time since he made anything new and to see all now getting a bit of his former greatness is kind of sad.
4I wouldn't want to see it either. In fact, he shouldn't be staging anything Jackson related. No one has forgotten how he left Janet out there to take all of the blame during that Super bowl fiasco. I doubt her brother or the family forgot that either.
5Justin is no Michael Jackson no one is. Unless the profits go to a charity Michael would of supported, how rude of Justin to make money off of MJ's memory. He hasn't even been dead a week. Michael was the one and only King of Pop. Can Michael at least be buried and put to rest before folks start capitalizing off his name.
6I'd be interested in just about anything JT does. He is an amazing performer and this would be a nice tribute to MJ.
7Nope, not interested. I don't even know if I believe this story. Who in their right mind would even try to fill those shoes?! The only way something like this would work is if it was like every other tribute show, and a whole group of performers participated.
I need to see pictures of this Justin/Harry bonding time!!
8It would be nice of JT to do it if he wanted to, it would really be a tribute, but it's nothing I would be interested in.
9only if the money goes to start a charity in michael's name or a donation in michael's name to one of the charities he supported
really it's only a matter of time until it happens, so if they can get some great artists to pay tribute, it could be something good
10what do you mean he died as a shadow of his former self? That's ridiculous, he was a legend and always will be. He made an album in 2001 and has been creating a new album for years. So don't say crap you don't know anything about.
11No, not interested. If I want to hear Jackson's music I'll riffle through hubby's albums. And, call me jaded, but something about tribute concerts always seem a little PR driven.
12That's like going to a going to a concert and expecting to see Madonna come on stage, but instead, it's an overweight, hairy drag queen lip-syncing her songs..... it's just not comparable.
13UH what? ^
14if he's dead, you wouldn't expect him to be onstage right?
OCnottie: No...but if i was going to go to a MICHAEL JACKSON concert, i wouldn't want someone over eager wannabe taking his place.
15I don't see JT's talent carrying any show having to do with MJ. He hasn't the talent for such a huge undertaking but I'm sure the dollar signs look good to him at this juncture. Cool down JT, if and when the MJ tributes begin in the form of shows I'm sure you'll be able to add your name to the list...but all in good time. It's much too soon and tasteless of you to mention it right now. It just looks like a ploy for the bucks!
16Couldn't agree more with Chris B.
17I see WCC.
Did Justin say he WAS going to do this? Is this FACT? B/C for speculation I'm hearing a lot of hate.
18i'd def go see it!
19No way. I would want my money back. I paid to see Michael not Justin.
20I'd Rather See Jutin Because He Has More Talent
21Who is the chick JT's sitting with?
22mel92, really? Seriously, you think he was still making music of the caliber of Off the Wall and Thriller?
I'm aware that he was still making music, but nothing he made from the mid nineties onwards even came CLOSE to the magic of the music he produced the peak of his talents. His voice was gone, he could barely walk, let alone dance... ergo, yes, he died a shadow of his former self. I'm not saying that makes me happy, but it is a fact nonetheless.
A tribute concert is inevitable, and I agree with OChottie that at this stage JT "saying" he wants to do this is speculation. But I certainly would enjoy seeing all of his best songs performed and interpreted by other artists, they're amazing songs!
23well said Kiki tee
24Nope. Nope. Nope. Not Timberlake. I'd like to see Chris Brown, because he's the only young guy who could do it justice.
25i want to see him perform with cameron diaz...
ditch biel now
26i'd be interested, i think he could pull it off. but he'd have to watch himself, he'd have a lot of people saying he was trying to cash in, being a sell out, etc...and the tribute would have to be complete MJ, nothing 'justified' about it
27Justin distanced himself from the Jackson family after the superbowl. Janet was the closest sibling to Michael and Justin doesn't deserve to even be on that stage, never mind perform in a tribute or stage anything.
28No Way! Are you serious?! I like Justin and all, but come on, really?
29I agree with those that say no because of the way he treated Janet. He really made her take all the blame for the Superbowl fiasco when he was the one that caused it. I'm pretty sure Michael wouldn't want a tribute to him done by a guy that embarrassed his sister like that.
30Timberlake's entire career is based on shamelessly copying the Jacksons, a pretty good indication that he has no actual talent himself.
31NOT after the way he threw Janet under the bus after the Superbowl. It would truly be truly hypocritical of him.
32I hope this is just a rumour b/se it is in really bad taste!
33Lol Kiki tee! I never said that his new albums were as good as his first but who gives a Sh*t? He shouldn't be treated any differently just because he got older. Justin has no where near the talent mchael had, I would really hate to see Justin do this, If michael can't no one should.
34i think if a number of performers got together and did 50 dates performing a tribute act this would be an amazing way to celebrate his life and also to give the ticket holders something for their money.
though people will have travelled from everywhere around the world for this concert, and i'm not so sure just justin would meet such demand.
i agree with the first post- MJ would have been a shadow of his former self on tour. and though it's the worst way possible, him not going ahead with these 50 dates may have in a way protected his legacy as he was meant to be remembered.
35He did concerts in 2001, his new album wasn't as great as the others but it didn't ruin his legacy, if anything it celebrated it. I don't think these concerts would have been any different.
36i see NO COMPARISON between MJ and JT and I am not a huge MJ fan but I grew up with his music and do love it. JT is a pale pale pale copy cat and not that talented IMO. No one can really ever take MJ's place. Has Elvis ever been replaced?
37Hell no!!
38I still remember Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 93, and boy, no one, except George Michael, was able to come close Freddie s huge voice and talent. So I think there is no one who could fill HUGE Michael Jackson s shoes. I don t know any Timberfake s song, even do he is played non stop on MTV, that how significani he is, zero. MJ songs and dance is worldwide known from the moment they are created, 30 -25 years ago and still to this day, they are fresh, modern, unique and TIMELESS.
39well, it's an interesting concept...especially since JT is a fairly good MJ impersonator
40no no no partly because of the janet fiasco
41can't say that i'm really all that interested in seeing him in a tribute - but i guess if he's part of a whole group of musicians, then it would be something to consider.
42I like justine t but i would rather see chris brown do the performance because he got it i dont care what he did the boy got the skills he will never be mj but he maybe the next up and coming once all this blows over for him RIP MJ
43NO not interested at all...
44Nope, I do not want to see JT do anything. And I would not have paid for the Jackson concert tickets or took them for free.
45I agree I don't think Justin Timberlake should be impersonating Michael Jackson seeing as he passed on. It just doesn't sound right, and seems completely disrespectful towards Michael's talents and to his family!
