Michael Jackson was photographed practicing his performances at the Staples Center on June 23, for what ended up being his last rehearsal before his death. His comeback tour was scheduled to begin July 13 in London, and now AEG is giving ticket holders the choice between getting a full refund or receiving the printed ticket MJ himself supposedly designed as a memento. Tell us what you would do if you had a ticket for a Michael Jackson concert — ask for a refund or get the paper ticket as a memento?

Why the heck do you have to return the ticket to get the refund? The concert is obviously not going to happen, and it's not like they can't keep an electronic database to ensure that people don't try to cash the ticket in twice.
1Oops, didn't realize that they are ISSUING tickets or a giving a refund. What a ripoff.
2If I had tickets, I would probably keep them as a memo, definately
3I would def keep the ticket!
4I would want a refund.
5At this point the money has already been spent...I would take the ticket
6so originally the people who paid were getting both the ticket AND the concert? And now they just get the ticket for the price they paid??
they should be able to get refunded like 80% of the price and still get to keep the ticket
7I agree with anon. That's a good idea.
8i think it depends on how much it cost!!
9if it was like 75$ i'd say i'd take the ticket, but if it was like 250$ i'd take my money back
i would never have purchased the ticket to begin with
10I AM KEEPING MY TICKET!!!!LOVE HIM
11I would keeo mine too if I had.
12I'd love a compromise. I'd get the refund because having a memorabilia ticket is only a reminder that I'll never get to see M.J. perform live again.
13I would keep the ticket, and then sell it...
14yuck who would want to go to the the guy was a freak
15Because there were millions sold, selling it would get you next to nothing.
16yo gold u sound real stupid you dont have no respect
17I would keep the ticket. I'm sure most people who bought tickets to these shows are hardcore fans who will probably want the memento.
18I would keep the ticket.
19i don't know, if i needed the money i'd probably ask for the refund. i thought that it was like give the ticket back or keep it. if i didn't already have it it'd probably be easier to take the refund though
20I'm a HUGEEEEEE MJ fan, but honeslt the promoters just sound greedy to me.
21Do his children get some of this money?
Was MJ already paid for this concert.
For me it all depends on how whether or not his children profit.
I do home the family is wise enough to tern neverland info a graceland so that his children could benefit as Lisa Marie Presley did.
Michael Jackson was much bigger than Elvis so i'm sure Neverland would do fine!!!!
MJs family and the promotors shouldnt profit from this tour, because it didnt happen! Neverland has been sold already.
22I agree Liag.
23I know one person who was going to the concert and he's getting a refund - he was flying to London and everything so the trip was pretty expensive. Getting a refund will help with how much he spent on flights and hotels.
24I would keep the ticket! I wouldn't go so far as to say mj was bigger than elvis I think they were both equally major stars but in different time eras! mj music will live on forever just like elvis music has, and they will forever be known as the king of pop and the king of rock and roll.
25im one of the lucky {also unfortunate} ones who got a ticket for his concert in london around september time, and im sort of wondering wether or not to keep it all get a refund, it could be worth a fair amount in the future....
26My friends mum has a Nirvana ticket framed in her house; it was a concert which was planned on the day he died.
Had they already sent tickets out? Or did people only receive confirmations of their orders?
27KEEPING IT!!
28i would KEEP IT !!
29Keep it! If you need money later on in life, sell it then...I'm sure it's value will only go up!
30Yay Pampire! I totally agree.
I am a HUGE Elvis fan... and I was definitely into Michal's music...
31These pics are so sad...he looks like he's enjoying himself and still had a lot of life in him.
32ummm. keep it then sell it on eBay next year on his birthday.
that's why they call me BALLIN.
33a REAL fan, keeps the ticket...
34that thing is priceless now..
Many of you have really good points. And I agree with most of you.
Why can't they get the ticket and partial refund? It's messed up they are already trying to bank on Micheal's death. He would want his fans to have the ticket and their money back. He adored his fans. But hey that's just my opinion.
Did anyone see that it states Michael "supposedly" designed the ticket? Did he or didn't he?
They should turn Neverland into an amusement Park/Zoo so it can help his children and his debt. I would so go!
35this is utterly ridiculous.
36cashing in on his death for sure- he needed the money to wipe his debts which is why he did the show. and now even though his life insurance will cover the debts now i think, now the show's not going ahead his people want the money from it anyway.
i don't want this to sound disrespectful at all and i think i've risked it but to me it's just ludicrous!
if his people had any respect for all the support his fans had given MJ over the years- they'd issue a refund and send them a ticket as a momento too.
the tickets were over £100 each... i'd want my money back.
i'd go for a refund
37i'm not a die-hard MJ fan or anything...but if i did buy a ticket, i would probably just keep it as a memento. the only reason i'd go would be b/c i was a die-hard fan.
38this is stupid, if you did spend $250 on your ticket, then obviously MJ means a great deal to you and you're going to keep the ticket as memorabilia anyway.
39I'd keep the ticket
40I'd keep it. If for no other reason than it'll be worth more in the future.
I think it's a little disingenuous that the promoters are acting like keeping the money will cover their production costs. They're not going to be out money. Insurers sell insurance for big things like this. If the producers didn't have insurance on this event, they deserve to get screwed.
41god bless michael, he looks happy in these pics...it would have been a great show.
42I would definitely keep the ticket! He was one of a kind and I agree with azh...the ticket is priceless.
43he's a brilliant performer!!
better if MJ is still with us than thinking of having the ticked refunded or keeping is as a memorabilia..
(
so soon but farewell, MJ!!
44If you turn up the music and star power loud enough, you can barely hear the haunting screams of molested children.
45Let the north american man boy love association (nambla) rally begin!
46They should not give a time limit on when they can get their money back, unless they say it should be within the next month or so.
And they should allow ticket holders to get their money back and keep the paper ticket. But Staples should some how mark the ticket so that the ticket holder cannot try to return it twice. I mean once Staples get the paper tickets back, they're just going to throw them away. Or maybe a few workers would sell them on Ebay if they could without telling anyone.
47How much were the tickets anyway?
