Good news for all Shia LaBeouf fans - it appears his hair has responded well to Molly's letter! Shia's hair was looking much cuter this morning in NYC that we'll even let it slide that his sweater is clearly two sizes too big. He's making the rounds to get ready for the big premiere of Transformers next week. When asked what he would like to transform into, Shia said:
"I want to be Zac Efron so I can be in 'Hairspray.'"
Hmm, really Shia? We just have a few issues with this statement: first of all, clearly Shia missed the memo about everyone knowing he's going to be the bigger superstar of tomorrow. Secondly, it's definitely a little too soon for Shia to be making hair references - he only just recovered from last week's mishap. And thirdly, there's something about the vision of John Travolta singing and dancing alongside the tattooed, brooding Shia that doesn't jive with us - but I guess that's where the whole "transformation" would come in.

21I don't understand his appeal at all, let alone any hotness factor (Are you kidding?). He seems to try to hard to appear more mature or cool. I think the genius of PR is self-fulfilling prophecies: if you keep telling everyone how he's so amazing (Next Big Thing), then people start believing it. I've seen his acting before and I didn't sense awe-inspiring ability (Comparison: Leonardo DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape?).

39I was just reading in Entertainment Weekly an interview with Shia and he's a smoker! I don't know but for some reason that really made me go "ohhh *sad face*" I just don't understand why kids these days make the decision to smoke especially after all we know about what it does to your body. But I guess when you're a famous celeb, you can afford to have your teeth whitened and skin cleaned. You could probably even afford new lungs. He's still a talented actor, I was just a tad disappointed. Oh well.
