12 Great TV/Movie Performances by Musicians Last night marked Alanis Morissette's debut on Weeds, playing Nancy's empathetic obstetrician. Morissette got her start on TV, but she hasn't done a ton of acting since. Her new role got me thinking about other great on-screen performances from musicians, whether or not they're commonly considered strong actors.
